Ive been following this for a few years and its seems real enough to me. Resveratrol, a molecule in grapes and wine, activates a gene called sirt-1 in
humans and mice (apparently all mammals) that extends lifespan among other things.
I think it works by enhancing the performance of mitochondria, the energy producers in the cells. Check out the imminst.org forums for more info on
this stuff.
If you want the benefits you can safely take 500mg of a resveratrol containing supplement per day. Or you can drink a few bottles of wine per day
