I'm not sure whether to be glad I don't experience them (because some of them sound very scary) or to feel left out.

I have a very open mind and base my beliefs on a blank slate; I believe everything until debunked.

Now, after having read so many stories and accounts of people on here and elswhere experiencing paranormal events, I now have to ask myself what I'm doing wrong.

I live in a "modern" house built in the 1980's, my town is uneventful (except the flood some hundred years ago nobody cares about anymore) and I'm surrounded by the most skeptical, I-believe-only-what-I-see people.

As a seemingly spiritual person, it makes me feel pretty much out of place.

Am I the only one here like this or are there others who, though interested in the paranormal, have never experienced it?

Well, being someone who has had many strange experiences, I can tell you that they happen sporadically.. I really haven't had anything happen, which I consider strange, since my parents passed.

Yeah it's weird.... I never experienced anything til a year ago, and then I finally opened up to 9/11 truth and that was kinda the key that unlocked everything because I realize now that anything you can imagine is possible, any evil deed can be done.... and that we don't know jack squat about what's controlling us.... and I dunno I became very spiritual after never being spiritual before, and really once I started meditating is when I noticed all the odd things around, like the "shadow people" and the ETs/UFOs, and the other world. It's not something you can just turn on like a lightswitch....and unfortunately you can't turn it off, either.... and if you wanna know, just wait. It will be revealed to you in time. Patience is kinda a must when dealing with this type of stuff.

Indierock, I have had spurts and sputters.. There have been times when every time I turned around, there was something "strange" occuring, and there have been times when nothing at all has happened to me.

You will never get proof of the existence of "paranormal" things until your self decides you are ready.... and it's a subconscious thing, because I'd heard of all this stuff for years and the 9/11 conspiracies and all that crap... and until you are ready to accept the fact that things go bump in the night, and things unseen are living right besides all of us, your subconscious will never incorporate that reality into your conscious perception. Not saying it's bad to be that way. and you ARE vewry open minded, which is good. I wasn't at all open minded before I got slapped with reality.... and oh man I was bedridden for days just overwhelmed... so hopefully for you it comes gradually. You don't wanna figure it all out at once, or you're mind would explode.

oh you definitely dont always notice it because it is not part of this reality, so therefore most of the time it passes you by without you even knowing it. To the OP, there is paranormal things happening all around you, trust me.
And to the last poster, I love you.

Many things we brush off as mere coincidences are actually synchronisites/paranormal that may contain information, if we can only
recognize them for what they really are. It takes practice, but once you are attuned to the syncronistic universe. You will be amazed at the odd connections that happen all around you, everyday.

The very act of saying you have not experienced a paranormal event will bring one on. I hope it's a pleasant one!

For whatever reason you are one of the norm. Most people do not have paranormal experiences, for whatever reason, and if they do are not aware they are having one, chalk it up to something else or just plain deny it.
Then again there is always the possibility there is no such thing as paranormal activities...

Reasons I think People don't come across strange stuff like paranormal is.. one not open to it. as in just living life happy(which I wish I could be like that but cant) and other reason satan knows you don't believe in him(greatest lie he ever ever created -debunking himself) so he'll never show you(meaning stay on that path and your on your way to hell without any help from anyone)...sorta weird but sorta true in my eyes.

then again you could see stuff cause you're cursed(me) or you live in haunted house. etc etc. as for UFO's... never believed in that crock either till I saw upto ten in one night alone...two actually aimed for each other and one shot something out back as it passed other by. ex girl friend and i both saw it up in the mountians where we were living. since when... do satelites worth millions aim for each other?

I've had a few paranormal happenings. It could be alot of things though maybe you just don't notice them and I know atleast two times I've noticed ghosts that look like they are really there and one kind of ran at me and disappeared and the other one was I think walking a dog and as we passed the guy there was nothing there. Weirdest thing I ever saw. But yeah consider yourself lucky for the most part you haven't seen one.

Same here, that was the event that woke me up. Since they are getting away with lying about that, there really is no limit to what else they are lying about.

Then you find out about the NASA airbrushed pictures and you realize they are even covering up what is found outside our planet and our solar system...

We are in a dark age right now in my opinion. Human kind have been hijacked.

It depresses me to have good posts 'disappear'. I feel I have much to give to the forum. Apparently my opinions or experiences are too much for whomever feels necessary to delete them. I apologise you feel so compelled to do so.
Alas.
Stupid me. I was rechecking a thread of very similar layout. Nobody deleted anything. Once again my paw in the mouth. Sorry.

I don't think I understand the "being ready" part. I'm more than ready. Actually, I'm overdue and I would welcome at least something.

Most people that I have been around when strange things have happened, try to

1. Ignore it

2. Deny it

One of the biggest responses I get from people, when something strange happens and someone else experiences something else with me is that they don't want to talk about it or think about it. It tends to be too much of a shock to their "rational" mind to even consider..

Is dreaming whilst sleeping paranormal? i guess so. Maybe i'm wrong, who cares.

Well, there is a little something I like to call the Law of Attraction Between Anomalous Phenomena.

Basically, weird sh*t attracts more weird sh*t.

Once you start having paranormal experiences, they're likely to haunt you for the rest of your life. Leastwise thats how its been for me. I saw a ghost when I was 9 years old, and its only been uphill from there.

Not that I don't enjoy having all this stuff happen. I quite enjoy a paranormal life, as opposed to a normal one. A normal life seems boring to me in comparison, but that is just me.

Ask and ye shall receive, Blue Dome.

I can go a long time without experiencing something. I've found to see that if I go and looking for things (like experiences) that it isn't going to happen and when I'm not looking for something then it does happen. I'm pretty sure the same is for you.

I disagree though on the last point. If you are open minded however it's more likely to happen I think and if you don't go around and look for it. But yea it does take time to get the syncronistic side of the universe. I've had it happen to me a few times and when it does then I recognize it but only after practice (as in not rushing it as well).
