Separation surgery on a two-year-old Indian girl who was born with four arms and four legs has been successful, doctors say.
Lakshmi Tatma was joined at the pelvis to what was, in effect, a headless, undeveloped twin.

A team of surgeons in the southern city of Bangalore operated on Lakshmi for 27 hours to separate her spinal column and kidney from that of her twin.

It is hoped the procedure will allow her to survive beyond adolescence.

I saw the girl before the operation on TV. Man that was weird. It was like one of those Hindu deities. Or a spider, take your pick.

talk about spidergirl hey thats gotta be one for the record books man i cant believe this kind of mutation are possible i mean that must have been her twin stuck up her rear

pretty strange.

wonder what kind of 'spidey moves' she could have learned had she had years to learn how to control them limbs.

she would have pwned in grappling.

For some strange reason I too was reminded of the Hindu deity Kali.
