Okay I was thinking after reading reports that UFOlogy is dead to use the base of ATS members that are UFO enthusiasts and being a ATS-wide project to stop reading everyone else's posts and get looking up at the sky trying to spot UFOs.

I think say once a fortnight on a allocated weekend ATS members interested just put 2 - 3 hours into looking up at the stars with their cameras and such close. You never know we might actually find something and if you don't then its probably good you spent that time outside because your not rotting away at the computer and your giving your eyes some much needed exercise. Even if you don't visually see anything I know various photoshop filters that help pick-up hard to see objects in photos, such as emboss.

This is still in the drawing board stage. I want to see how many people are interested. If you think its a dumb idea please say so.

There is a a group of forum members that like to set up web cams in various locations around the globe and have evenings together here just watching for anomolies. I always wanted to join just have not yet.

I have a great thread that tells a slightly different view of what you seem to think of forum members and their skywatching habits. You could learn alot about some of the more private members and their experiences.

Some people prefer to remain anonmous when it comes to their personal experiences and keep a low profile about it. They come here for validation as sightings happen just occassionally whereas this forum and the UFO discussions go on 24-7-365.

I have joined together with others of like mind during many events that are sky related, not just UFO stuff. There are many here that share your enthusiasm and yes they more than likely have wide ATS butts...

This was my first post on ATS and it is the one that I love the most and am very proud of. It stays in the back ground for the most part and for this thread that is ok with me. I feel even though it is on the biggest site of its kind on the Internet, it is still a safe place to come to tell your experience. No big fanfare, just a safe atmosphere where there has been 0 flames.
Here is that wonderful thread, enjoy.

I watched a guy on 'Wired News' on Pbs tonight hack an inexpensive digital camera for high speed photography. Two solders, bam done, after relieving the capacitor. All sky cameras with fisheye lenses networked would be really cool. Pipe dream. But indeed doable with ATS's significant resourses. It would be every debunkers worst nightmare. Dedicated ATS mods geared up with nightvision cams. I can dream.
