Kucinich Says He Will Force House Vote on Cheney Impeachment

rawstory.com

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) announced he would move to force a vote next week on his resolution calling for the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney.

“The momentum is building for impeachment,” Kucinich said in a statement on his Web site. “Millions of citizens across the nation are demanding Congress rein in the Vice President’s abuse of power.

Kucinich said he plans to introduce a privileged resolution, which would have priority for a House floor vote, on Nov. 6.

Well, at least he's trying to do what the majority of Americans would like to see happen.

Who knows, maybe this time it may happen, though I believe it will just get "tabled" and will come to nothing.

Good PR for him though.

Email your representative to get this piece of trash out of there:

www.house.gov...

All you need to do is type in your zip code and an intersystem-style email page comes up. Remember -- you, the taxpayer are paying for this.

A deficit of $9 TRILLION, 30% rise in foreclosures, which is 1 in 196 homes! This war economy has got to stop and Oil Cheney is one of the reasons this is happening.

Dump Cheney next week -- this is a bill that will come up for voting within two days of the Tuesday Nov 6th intro. Please, help get rid of this killer, draft-dodging lunatic.

This may be a stupid question, but why the vice president? Why not the president? Granted, Cheney is the "brains" (if you can call it that) behind Bush's policies toward Iraq and Iran, but who's to say George W. won't follow him even after Cheney's impeached? I approve of the gesture, but the vice presidency is not that powerful an office. Cheney is only upholding the power of the presidency; it's Bush whose power must be curbed.

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

Kucinich is a fruitcake.

Look at this statement:

"Millions of citizens across the nation are demanding Congress to stand up against the Vice President's abuse of power," Kucinich said.

"The Vice President continues to use his office to advocate continued occupation of Iraq and prod our nation into a belligerent stance against Iran," added the US presidential hopeful.

www.presstv.ir...

Since when is it a "high crime or misdeameanor" to advocate for an "occupation" that was authorized by Congress or for a "belligerent stance" against a state sponsor of terrorism.

The gutless long for someone like Kucinich to save them from the scary world they live in, but the truth is that all the Kuciniches in the world won't change the current threat to America from Islamic fundamentalists.

Thank God for Dick Cheney and may the Kuciniches of America fade into the oblivion that eventually envelopes the spineless.
