Yes. I have been told recently that the Third Temple is already under construction, what with all the excavation and building activity taking place around the Holy Mount.

It is believed the Third Temple will be a reproduction of Solomon's temple, not Herod's. And it was estimated several years back that it would take less than 6 months construction to reproduce that smaller temple.

King David wanted to build God a house, but God told him he had spilt too much blood and his "seed" would build His house. Well, naturally, David thinks "my son will build the house for God" Hence, Soloman (David's son via Bathsheba) was giving the instructions by David before he died for the building of the temple.
God had a deeper meaning of building a temple when he spoke to David. One that would "never" be destroyed, and stand forever. Did Soloman's temple stand forever? No.
Jesus (also a "seed" of David, generations later) built that temple that God was refering to! He put that temple into the hearts of every believer and it hasn't been destroyed until this day!

However, the purpose of the "physical" temple was to house the Ark of the Covenat.
The question should be, Where is the Ark?
New thread?
Would the temple be useless without the Ark? Gods Mercy seat?
IMO it's hidden somewhere awaiting the rebuilding of the temple and it will be rebuilt soon.
Rebuilding the "physical" temple is very important to the Jewish faith because they are still waiting on the Messaiah to come. It's important to the Christian faith too.
Only then Jesus will return and the Jewish faith will realize he is the Messaiah. Jew's will then convert and be very powerful on the spiritual influence on all other faiths and non believers. Jew's are God's chosen people to lead everyone else to the one true God during the end times. We are all very belessed that God loves us so much to share an inhieratance with the Jewish nation in Heaven.
This is from a Christian point of view. I am a Christian!
OK, go ahead and persecute me now. (Jesus was right about everything)

Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

If you had any real understanding of Islam, you would realize that being an infidel means your "mate" has the right and obligation to lie to you until the day he asks you to convert or die.

Well Solomons temple was completely cut and assembled like a giant "lego" structure before and construction began. Yes, it is probable that the stone version of the temple is already waiting somewhere, however, check in Ezra, God's templeneed not be "stone" as was the Moses temple. Watch for the return of the daily sacrifice long before construction begins..............

The Tabernacle was not a temple - ever. There's only been two temples.

The third temple won't be a tabernacle, it will be a temple - thus your theory appears to be wrong.

So to be a temple, the building must be "stone"? So for 40 years the tribes had no Temple?

And what about the temple in Shiloh?

"1 Samuel 1:9 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

BINGO!

If they had already had a temple David wouldn't have been so passionate about building...

A TEMPLE!

No, they had no temple, they had a cloth mobile tabernacle of which David felt (as did his son!) was not sufficient for the praise and worship of the glory of God.

But didn't the lord say he didn't want them to build a stone temple?

Well, I don't recall Him telling them not to. He refused to allow David, but I don't remember Him saying "Don't you dare ever build me a stone temple."

If you have scripture that states otherwise, I'll be glad to entertain the thought.

1 When Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king to succeed his father David, he sent his envoys to Solomon, because he had always been on friendly terms with David. 2 Solomon sent back this message to Hiram:
3 "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet. 4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. 5 I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.'

Looks like God was a thumbs up on this.

Further evidence that God was okay with what Solomon was building.

11 The word of the LORD came to Solomon: 12 "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. 13 And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."

And then the final evidence that God was pleased with Solomon's temple:

10 When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the LORD. 11 And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled his temple.

12 Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud; 13 I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever."

Well I can't find where God didn't want a stone temple. I surrender.

However, I do still take exception to the issue of what make a temple. Tent or Stone they are of the same basic structure. Alter, Outer and Holy of Holies. Both housed the Ark, Both is where the Lord God "Lived".

Well, maybe this will help you some.

Irrespective of whether you want to declare the tent tabernacle a true temple or not (makes no difference to me), part of the confusion in your theory is that you are taking an EXTRA-scriptural phrase and applying it to the scriptural record.

"third temple" has an apocryphal origin and is never mentioned in the Bible. So when you take the phrase "third temple" and then treat it as if it should reckon to the scripture, you can cause yourself confusion.

"Third temple" was first used in rabbinical writings...so we have to look at what the rabbis meant by the use of this phrase - not what scripture could be used to clarify the phrase. The Rabbis believe there have been two temples and the third is yet to be built. So that should clarify that they are counting Solomon's temple and the temple of Herod's time as the two that have been, and they pray for the third.

Hope that helps.

I reckon if they even attempted to build another temple then it would be destroyed quite rapidly (and rightly) by some opposing force. They would have to get rid of that muslim thing first and I dont think they would be too chuffed at that.

I say flatten the whole place and turn it into a nice garden that everyone can enjoy.

God in any form exist only in the deluded minds of those who chose to allow themselves to be brainwashed into believing ancient mythology.

The spirit of god exists only in the minds of those who self induce dementia where they experience "the spirit". One can also self induce these feelings toward sexual desires, wealth, power and even meditation or many, many things.

All that we do know beyond doubt is that something created everything. All else and everyones Bible is lunacy and simply ancient man trying to figure out existence.

God has left no evidence of his existence other than existence itself. Religion is man made delusion PERIOD. There are many men in life who have created cults such as Jesus and Mohammad. Unlike many other thousands of prophets their particular doctrine has withstood the test of time but this in and of itself does not provide evidence of its truth.

If your lucky you get 100 years of life. I suggest you enjoy it in a moral way and not to live a sad deluded life. If a God wants us to know about him he will do more than leave us ancient scrolls written by men seeking understanding of themselves and their world. These men were often on hallucinogenic drugs by the way.

God and the various religions on this earth has caused more sin and killing than man has alone.

Even today with humanity becoming aware of the universe and its workings religions stimies our progression through fear and rediculas assumptions. (is a stem cell or embryo a human ( ehh no not by far).
