WOW! Did the Senate actually get something RIGHT for a change? I must say that I'm impressed with this decision given the governments love of taxing the bejeezus out of us. Good job Senators!

Incredible. I agree with you... I was fully expecting them to try and tax it to hell and back...

Maybe not enough lobbyists wanted to support this since it would hurt their business online.

With the internet being a global cash cow, I too am surprised at this.
The way taxes have become insane this lonesome little light of hope maybe be something to cling to. The Senators did a good thing for the people. I hope that someday some existing taxes will be lifted (although I cannot readily recall a single tax that has been).

Indeed. For once I am proud of my senate. However, I can't help but wonder if this passage has something to do with some, possibly harmful, future agenda.

Let's be honest, the government of these United States doesn't exactly have a track record of serving our best interests.

If you make money on the internet, that's income. They already tax your income, so what exactly are they talking about taxing to begin with?
I wouldn't get too exited about the Senate's decision to extend this tax ban, it's already rolling around in some State's legislators. If I remember right, Wisconsin tried to pass a download tax not too long ago.

In the future we will tell our children how the Internet was tax free and I'm sure they will laugh in disbelief. Now is the time to get that Internet biz started while you can still make a decent profit.

It amuses me that we get so excited over the senate banning internet tax. But then again, in terms of their successes I suppose we don't have a lot to celebrate over.
