I don't want you to ever feel obliged to thank me for what i say. I appreciate who you are and everyone is different. Sometimes it is difficult to accept these differences without actually knowing the people.

I believe if we could all accept one another for the differences we show, the world will be a much better place. But i know we can't change the world so we need to make, what we do, for the better.

Love on the internet is a highly disputable topic. Statutory relationships isn't.

And you never know....?

You know?

I have say good luck to the two of you and I hope that it works out.
As for the people bashing steve-o implying that he’s a sexual predator and the such, I have to ask, why would a sexual predator announce their love like this in a public forum? And a fairly popular one at that.
The age difference is only three years and no laws are being broken, so hey lets just congratulate them and hope it works out.

I'm not implying anything. We're all having fun. We're not laughing at him, but with him. Mellow.

Those kind of sting operations they do on news shows are absolute gold!

Dude shows up to the girl's house with a bottle of tequila and a pack of condoms and some news reporter jumps out of the closet with a microphone asking him why he's such a pervert.

Peace

I don't see why some members are making such a big deal out of the 3 year age difference. That's not unusual or strange at all.

Back when I was in high school I remember when a lot of freshmen girls were dating boys in their senior year. The same age difference between snakeslayer and steve-o.

3 year age difference is not strange at all. heck look at Ashton kutcher and demi moore, they have a 15 year age difference. That means when she was graduating highschool he was a little three year old baby.

Steve, I personally believe that some of these people are just trying to give you a hard time. Those who are the first to start casting stones are usually the biggest hypocrites themselves.

edit: also, this is just my opinion, but I would never date anybody online. it's strange too me, I don't think I could ever develop feelings for someone through a screen and keyboard, and also because I don't even use the internet that much. Plus there's like a million women out there in real life.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't steve, if it makes you happy kudos to you.

You are really missing what it is most people are saying here. It really isn't an issue about the age difference involved it is an issue with the particular ages involved. The examples you mention are completely and totally different animals altogether.

Back when I was in high school I remember when a lot of freshmen girls were dating boys in their senior year. The same age difference between snakeslayer and steve-o.

These types of cases are in fact normal and not unheard of, thing to remember here is that this type of relationship will tend to have a lot of common events and experiences. How many of these relationships do you know have actually lasted once the senior goes on to college and the freshman is still in high school?

heck look at Ashton kutcher and demi moore, they have a 15 year age difference. That means when she was graduating highschool he was a little three year old baby.

This is not really relevant on the basis that Ashton was and is able to go wherever Demi goes there were and are no rules preventing him from going out to any event with her.

Granted Steve-o should not be being villified here it is wrong to do so. But if this were my daughter, I am sorry but I would have to ask you to not continue dating her until she was of a more appropriate age. If you continued to I would be pressing charges. There are reasons the laws are written they way they are, and right now most of those agree it is inappropriate for an 18 year old to bed a 15 year old. Not to mention that there are a whole range of issues with this being a strictly online relationship, you both are very young and should be out doing things with real and physical people, you have yet to really experience life and what it has to offer.

Wow...... why do ya guys always have to switch this thing into some "sexual act" .... I've never talked about that on this thread or with her in private ...so .... what's the big deal ???? I'm not goin' to "show up at her door" right now, and I'm not a guy lookin' for "action" on the web . Do you actually think a cyber stalker would show his love for someone on a big site such as this..... I'm not gonna explain myself anymore 'cause it's gonna do nothing to change your mind or anyone else's mind about it .

you make a moot point. Everything you said is only applicable if this was a sexual relationship, which steve-o has already stated that it's not.

Oh, and are so naive as to think that those freshmen girls and senior boys that dated never shagged? C'mon man, this is the real world we're living in.

And finally, I agree with this last part of your post:

My biggest thing is the fact that most likely it is a not only an internet relationship, but it's a LONG DISTANCE one. Now if they lived 25 miles, 50 miles or even 100 miles from one another, I wouldn't have given him any advice at all then to simply say, "Go for it."

However, I'd be willing to bet they live states aways from one another.. I'd bet my bottom dollar. I'm just trying to save him some hardship, that's all. He can do as he wishes.

Ummmm... you're right about it bein' a long distance relationship but it's not that far apart ..... I won't say where she is 'cause I don't want any problems with her or her family
. I know the odds are stack'd against me in this one ... but I'm a guy that takes chances ... if I fail ... then I'll take it like a man and admit it to all the folks on BTS that I'm wrong and they're right . I know you're givin' me some good advice bro , it's that I'm one of those guys that can't accept failure .

WRONG!!!!

jca2005 age does matter...The fact that he is 18 and she is 15 means that he is an adult and she is a minor. Which means we will find him on "how to catch a predator"..But hey if she wants it then throw it to her. But if it were my daughter
:bash:
and then off to jail. But thats just me.

Wow !!!!! I promise ya folks that I won't end up on "how to catch a predator" ....... the legal age of consent where she's from is 16...and I'm not even doin' the hanky panky or anything else along those lines to her so what's the big deal ??? There's much more harsh stuff happening out there that you guys should be focusing on
.....

I've already posted saying what I thought of this, but since it seemed like people are making out that Steve-o is some sort of predator I saw fit to post again.

Steve is not breaking any sort of laws, he is not and should in no way be compared to a predator.

I'm behind you Steve, so long as you keep in your mind that there are certain laws, federal and moral, that should never be crossed. Like I said before, if you tread carefully everything should work out for the best.

After reading everything since my last post, I too feel the need to post again.

Steve, don't let anyone get you down. For some reason it seems many members are jumping to their own conclusions here. I know it is hard to maintain a relationship..especially online. If you can do it, kudos to you.

Everyone, look at the facts that were given to you in this thread. No laws have been broken or are being broken. With no law being broken, you wouldn't be able to press any charges.
