Paintball:we have all heard of it but no one mentions it when the talk about sports. Why is this? im a HUGE paintball fan and in my whole school
theres only about 3 people who actually play. ive heard people say that "its the fastest growing sport in the world". but i hear more people talk
about ping pong than paintball. i was wondering if any of you had an explaination for this.
i never hear it mentioned as a fast growing sport. matter of fact, i don't hear it at all.
about 5 years ago, paintball as huge stuff, least round here.
they had a few places you could go rent em and play on the course but they are not around anymore.
maybe it's more regional.
i don't think i would ever consider paintball a sport though. just me
There were leagues at one time in the UK, and I thinkl there is still a small league but it became much too serious for me. You needed funding to
practise and I heard of teams firing 10 to 20 thousands paint balls during training.
There was a program on one of the smaller channels that covered paintball for a few seasons but was finally canned as the viewing figures were
small.
It comes down to money, airtime and advertisers wanting to pay for exposure.
That aside, still a fun thing to donw on a weekend with some mates.
Maybe we could arrange an ATS day in the US and the UK?
