I'm trying to find the ins and outs of both of these technologies. I read about most of them on the internet but a lot of the articles are bias one way or the other. Can someone please give me a straight answer.

I'm going to assume you mean CDMA because companies that used TDMA switched to GSM in which case your original question makes no sense.

Really depends where you are.

GSM is usable (assuming tri band or at least bi band) around the world (for the most part). As CDMA is more just a USA thing. CDMA (from what I have experienced) was much faster and clearer than GSM.

But as far was which technology to go with. Really both are going to offer basically the same thing. You'll be able to talk on your cell phone in most places but in the country I noticed CDMA worked better for me. But for in town places, GSM will be just as good.

Never really had a problem with GSM or CDMA. I just happen to be on CDMA now. Both worked fine.
