I think the debunkers are the same ones who in the past derided Galileo for discovering Jupiters and other planets and saying that the planets revolved around the sun.

Even after showing it in a telescope this guy must have been debunked by the then skeptics as Anomalies on Lenz or witchcraft.

I believe Hoagland because he has presented the evidence. This evidence is not proof of life or intelligent life. But the evidence is to be investigated.

Hoagland and his bunch may or may not make money. What is wrong in making money anyway. We all do make money. Many people rig the stock market and make money.

Hoagland has been speaking on this subject for many many years. He should have made loads of money by now. There are so many other ways of making money by the way. Besides making money by risking life and reputation.

Why would someone risk so much? Just for money. No. It is a passion unravel the truth.

And I support them whole heartedly.

Cheers

i think this disclousure is not what many think it is. anyway there are 2 options:

1. int won't be something new and extremely interesting
2. it will be somethin' unheardof

number 1 wont change anything or it will be some speculations confirmed.
number 2 is actual disclousure witch reminds me again that the whole truth is something much deeper than that.

either way, it is a topic worth looking into.

Honestly folks, come on. Does anyone actually believe that, according to one post on this thread, NASA discovered a race of intelligent robots on the moon? That's just this side of crazy-town. Forgive me for being so "naive" about these particular theories, but precisely what "advanced technology" was supposed to have been found on the moon? Was it the remnants of some by-gone Lunar Civilization? Relics left over from aliens who stopped on the moon for a while, and forgot to pick up after themselves like sloppy campers?

I'm all about looking at everyone from the Govt with a sharp eye and healthy amount of suspicion, but this is NASA. These folks are some of the smartest people on this rock, but I have severe doubts about how well they could keep a secret like that.

How the hell can they disclose anything when none of them actually work for nasa or the government?

Is it all just going to be theories? Just because various countries have decided to go to the moon or a least send probes, why does that mean its alien related?

I would love to see the raw unedited close up images of the moon because it would answer a lot of questions for a lot of people on here. But sadly I dont think we ever will.

Thats is probably the best thing we can do. Either have one of "us" ATS'ers or an Army of ATS'ers go up there and get as much info as possible. Frankly, I dont think this is going turn out the way we want it to. If CNN or FOX were to be there, will they take it seriously(?) and if they do, how much "spin control" is going to take place. News media already has its alegiance's these days and it is not entirely to the truth and especially not to someone such as Richard Hoagland. I'm just saying in most liklihood, they arent going to take him all too serious. Point being, if "we" can be there, than we can get the "first hand word" before it gets muttered up by the media. As I had mentioned before, I think alot of us might be disappointed with the outcome of this and should be careful not to get our hopes up too high. But, one things for sure. We'll all be here discussing the outcome on the 31st.

k. i emailed the guy, because i dont know how this all works. this is available to the public, right? ill just shoot down there real early to try to bypass that crazy ass trafic, and skateboard around, and then slide into the press thing if possible, and ill take a notepad and voice recorder. it says something about being open for questions after the press thing. ill look it up again. do we have any questions here if i can get in?

I find the "sloppy campers" comment really interesting. Are you saying that NASA is just a bunch of "sloppy campers"? Because they left a few tons of stuff they didn't want to haul back.

See, here's the problem. When we use terms like "sloppy campers" there is a visual image produced that makes readers see something ridiculous, when it isn't ridiculous at all. Actually, the moon landings by Apollo were camping trips themselves in every sense of the word. But if we take that terminology and use it only towards these moon anomalies, then we make the reader see a distorted picture of any "left over" artifacts that MIGHT be there. This is spin at it's most subtle angle.

Now I'm far from "buying in" on the moon city and robot civilization thing. But I'm not a big fan of "flavor of the month" debunkers either. I like facts and logic, coupled with an open mind that accepts all possibilities as being worth a look. And being an American sickened by my nation's politics, I positively hate spin.

See, there are level heads on ATS. I knew I was not the only one interested in Mr. Hoagland. I am near halfway through "Dark Mission". If you guys have questions, seriously go back and read this thread and do a search, there is quit a bit of info even on ATS for you. This is not quite what you thought it was, and I suggest you look into it. That doesn't mean that this announcement will be anything substantial but we can hope.

I'm guessing the intelligent robots that they found were not 'turned on' at the time. They probably brought them back to earth and then activated them.

Well, the link, and what I read there was interesting. While very thought provoking, the images are still not anywhere near a smoking gun level. I am intrigued by the dialog of the astronauts, and the reasoning the writer used.

Not convinced, but not ready to dismiss it either.

I'm an Astronomical artist and have seen the true colors of Mars from the guys I know know the real story. Check this out.

Don Davis Mars Colors

I've known Don for over 25 years as a good friend and I have shown my works with him in several NASA art shows and other events. I think he is one of the best technical astronomical artists I have ever known, bar none. When he was in his 20's he was doing textbook images for USGS and actually was one of the retouches who did the composites from Viking and other NASA/JPL visual projects.

He does the science and knows his stuff better than most of the NASA and JPL artists, and not under anyones rule as he freelances. He does great photography and also likes the "pure" science of everything. You can't get anything by him.

Look at his website on Mars color and tell me the "redwash" from NASA is not happening. Many of us know the institutional pressure to produce to a spec. Don is just too good an artist to mislead anyone.

My word on this.

Those are some great looking make overs. I want to go to Mars so bad

Really that is one of the things that makes me believe so much. Why would they change something so little? What is the point unless your trying to deceive people? I can't think of any other reason you would give.

I've always been on the fence with Hoagland. When his first book came out, basically shortly after Nasa realesed the Face on Mars photo, and Hoagland ran with it, and basically brought the whole Cydonia complex to the public eye, I was a huge fan of his work. Can't remember the name of it but it was one of his fist books, I had a paperback copy, and I read it so many times it started Falling apart.

But Nasa did a wonderful job in telling me, and showing me it was just poor photo quality, and tricks of light(the face, the pyramid, the city walls, ect, and I kinda went on the Fence with Hoagland.

Though I still feel he truely believed in his work, but the money from the sales of it don't hurt either, you know what i mean.

Anyway if he was just a quack I don't think he would still be leading the charge on many new projects of discosure, not "only" about Cydonia, but about a vast range of cover-up, I mean he delves into it all. So I am sort of liking Hoagland once again. Since he has perservered the test of time. That alone tells me alot about him, that he's no flash in the pan.

Now:

What I'm MOST interested in about all this, and this upcoming meeting are the pictures this fellow Johnston supposedly has in his possesion, and if he has what they're saying he has, I sure hopes he has copies in secure places, and is watching his back 24/7. I'd hate to see another good man fighting the good fight pass on under suspicious cicumstances.

Does the OP have a general number of how many pictures Johnston has and is gonna release? 10? 25? 50? 100?

I hope after this meeting at least some of these pictures he has will be released to the public. If they are as good as I'm hoping they are, I WILL go out and buy their book.

But if they don't come public with more than the few photos I saw clicking the links on that webpage, I'm not buying any book based on that alone.

None-the less I'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

It does seem odd this rush to hurry men back to the surface before anyone else gets there? they had all this time to do the right thing. But in their lack of foresite, alot of lives have been lost sadly. Astronauts mainly. Due to these rush jobs.

How are they gonna clean up an ancient ruin in a day or two time so China won't see it? Throw 1k foot x 1k foot Elven cloak over it?

I wish they wouldn't do a rush job and risk more fine astronauts, let the Chinese or whoever go up there, and roll the dice with what they might find, if they even succeed, in landing on the Moon.

It was a miracle back then 1/1000 in my opinion; and is still no small task today I'd say 1 in 10, maybe worse.

I wish all these pioneers and explorers all races, god-speed. But if there was a cover up way back in the beginning which this fellow Johnston may hold the key to. Well then shame on the US government, and NASA yet again. I swear the US are the Kings of Cover-ups. KOC for short.

They shoulda just been truthful from the get go, the american people deserved as much. For that I have a bit of disgust for Nasa. They can still make up for it, and come clean now. I mean they're gonna get caught, they haven't cleaned up what they saw, and now other countries will see it, and some serious questions will be raised. Nasa is gonna be left backpeddling and stuck between a rock and ancient Lunar ruins.
