I'm somewhat confused and facinated by this device.

I dont understand if the skematics of how to build the device are freely available on the net (and i have them all) then why hasnt anyone ever bothered to build the damn device?? I mean hell a device that claims to communicate with the dead?...why waste years chasing shadows in crappy old houses when you could build this and almost interact like the internet (ghostnet?) with the other wordly characters? I lack the technical expertise to ever attempt to sucessfully build the device but i'm willing to pay someone else to build one and even considering building a few and testing the market for selling them. I honestly cant find but two to maaaaybe three people that ever *claim to have built this device and supposedly it works! I'm fed up of wishing and thinking about this all the time and ready to start asking some questions from you guys, the experts

I have a builder...I think. My soon-to-be Father in Law is the leader in the R&D Department at a very, VERY big electronics firm. I am SURE he could assemble it, but, I'd like to ask him first. Are the schematics transferable elecronically? Or, just by mail? I'd like to be able to show him the schematics just to give him an idea on what I am asking him to do. He's a great guy, I love 'im! We both share Model Railroading as a hobby. I do the building and scenery, he does all the wiring! I'm sure he'd whip it up for me.

Didnt Edison also attempt to create a device like this, a "spirit telephone"? Many well respected inventors like Edison Tesla and Marconi all made attempts at these devices. I would expect that since there is a clear ability to record ghost voices, there might be a way to get a "live feed" as one would say. Edison and Tesla all felt that electricity was the key or flame of life that can cross the "dimensional gap" of life and death. im very interested in the result of this project.

This is exactly my thoughts. If one were to accept that EVP's are real, then why not take the next logical step and accept that a live conversation might be possible. If you can record a spirit's voice with technology then why not build technology to capture and engage in an entire conversation?... Thats exactly what the inventor of the Spiricom set out to do and "supposedly" achieved.

... what you guys like talking about fake silly ghost meters, scary noises, and imaginary ghosts when you have a topic here dedicated to making an actual communication device that could answer all of the paranormal questions at once if functional. This is why the field will never become a recognized science because people would rather talk and read and theorize about the subject and pretend to be psychic than to actually delve into a scientific approach to possibly creating a communicative medium between our world and the next.

I think if there were anything out there that could communicate with the dead in a way that our physical sences could registar it without us having to 'wonder' if it were real and actualy be able to understand words vs. ideas, thoughts and feelings... I think most of us would have one.

But if there were a science center or something with a display model... I'd be there to check it out.

I see your point, of course. You want it to be handed to you with no real work other than to drive to the place where the machine is. Or, of course to be naturally gifted and not have to use the machine at all.

LOL Of course I'd like it handed to me! But my reason for saying that was my way of saying that I don't think there is such a thing. (not yet anyway).
And I am gifted with this particular topic - but to be able to hear with our physical ears and have a 'regular' conversation would be MUCH perferable!

I have looked into this before but could never really find the plans, So I attempted to give it ago myself. What I did working with a old radio was put together a ... Well ... urm .. radio? (no idea what to call it) That works on white noise and low frequency. problem is I am getting nothing with the white noise and I dont think I have the low frequency bit quite right. I would be intrested in having a go at building this spiricom, What a great device it would be if you could get one working. Any ways I will drop you A U2U with my details if you would care to forward the plans.
