I like my dreams - they're pretty damn vibrant most of the time and due to my preoccupation with videogames they get pretty intense sometimes.
Just last night i dreamt i killed a cross between a cyber-demon and a mancubus demon (both from DOOM) with a rocket launcher, it even had the DOOM
setting of a small pyramid and an endless horizon, except real good graphics.
It's the NORMAL dreams that freak me out.
Still, probably the best dream i had was watching the armies of hell issuing forth from a Gothic-style citadel - that was a good one.
speaking of which - ever read any of the DOOM books?
They eventually go on about how all the demons and [profanity deleted] were actually just aliens from another dimension, and how the invasion of earth
was part of some inter-dimensionary chess game between two races that didn't particularly give a [profanity deleted] about the human race.
I don't attach much significance to these dreams other than that i've played too many videogames in my time.
If you want to know more about dreams, it's probably a good idea to check out the psycho-somatic approach behind it; essentially it's your
subconcious mind working in over-drive trying to get rid of excess energy, and as such you get vivid dreams most of the time.
When people say "Did this dream mean anything?" they actually WANT it to mean something, and ultimately it does to some extent (although rarely what
seems apparent).
Funnily enough, my mancubus-slaying dream was preceeded by one about my ex-love interest - and believe me, i was far more freaked out by the ex-love
interest than the giant videogame apparation.
Nightmares usually come with a deep sense of terror and possibly even anticipation, so if you're feeling this during a dream then chances are it's
something you feel regrets over or a long-forgotten anxiety problem.
*is going to regret posting about videogames in dreams*
Er.. the guy has a point.. i don't see any real conspiracy going on here..
Do you feel your dreams are influenced in some way by people around you?
They are.
