I'm sure it's been discussed here before, but I'm wondering what the official story is. Looks like a piece of industrial slag to me.

On the website you linked to, it mentioned that a ex-NASA scientist thought it was very similar to a Martian meteorite. So far, I'm going to treat it as one until we see further evidence but we also have to face the very real probability that we will never know what it is for sure.
