Tax Protester Ed Brown Being Gassed and Tortured In Prison

prisonplanet.com

Shaun Kranish of MaketheStand.com was able to call the Ohio prison that Brown has been incarcerated in and talk with him on the phone for 10 minutes.

In a disturbing audio clip, Ed Brown speaks for the first time since his arrest and relates how he was gassed by noxious fumes for three days in a detention center as well as being put in a deprivation tank.

Brown also said he had been prevented from making any phone calls or receiving mail.

Talking about getting medieval!

We should all march down there and FREE the Browns!

They really must have hit a nerve with the Government to get this kind of 'special' treatment. I say we all stop paying taxes! Get cash only jobs and/or barter and trade.

Is this guy being tortured in a federal prison. I find it hard to believe, I mean I'm not saying it isn't happening it's just that.... how the hell do they expect to get away with it.

If they the feds are going to do this, were going to see a backlash it will just end up with more people getting hurt.

Good lord, this is totally appalling

Is this possible in a civilised country in this day and age ?

I mean, the guy disputes an income tax law and gets treated worse than the most violent criminals in the system ? Pleeeease...Gimme a break...

This has to stop, and now...I'm not an American, but please, point me somewhere that I can protest this massive injustice...

Peace

I'm sure that Brown has lawyers who visit him regularly.

I would wait for additional confirmation of this "torture" before I went off the deep end.

if he is a normal prisoner then he has visiting rights yes? can nobody in the town nearest check to see if they can visit him or call him or whatever? who is his lawyer and can someone find out whether he is allowed to visit or if what is being claimed is really true

that phone call was extremely disturbing and needs to be verified somehow. equally disturbing is that lack of interest this story is getting in many places. is this how you want protesters of any sort to be treated? no? then do something now!

I totally agree w/ this entire post -- someone in his hood? Is his wife locked up as well? Been on the wi-fi in parkes, can't do full article research.

yes his wife was also locked up somewhere else. her son says he can't even visit her! sorry for shouting but WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE THAT THIS IS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN?

whether you agreed with his protest or not IT WAS HIS RIGHT TO DO SO and nobody should be treated that way for standing up for what they believe in.

this is an open challenge to ALL u.s. ats members - PLEASE do something to find out if this story is true.

Sickening aspect of this, is that *they* primed us for torture today w/ those out-of-control soldiers in Iraq, now this?!? Also, coming soon to a freaking theater near you, "Rendition" about this terror era but seemingly Hollywood, saw a poster for it on the street the other day, was kinda shocked.

Is their son doing much as per getting these stories to the ACLU or Amnesty?

Seriously, jailtime is understood, unfortunate for us, Ron Paul is the only cand for downing the fed reserve; as a Thoreau "civil disobedience" thing but this is not to be stood for.

Glad to see this is being discussed-I made a thread about it too,but it was closed.
As to how the feds think they can get away with this...well it wouldn't be the first time I am sorry to say.
Its a disgusting situation, coming out of the country that tells us its spreading freedom and democracy across the world.
Sort out your own twisted system first I say.

We leave England because of unfair taxes. We get to America and set up a gov they way it should be. Cool, good idea.

Enter 2007, if you refuse to pay the same taxes the Fathers did, you will be dragged out of your house (and now possibly tortured). I guess it is true that everything in the universe repeats itself.

Ed and Elaine Brown were very active members of ATS. I commend them for what they did
Standing up for what you believe in and protesting for what we all know was wrong. They are paving the way for all of us to stand up for our rights!

A great big applause for both of them!

Seems that torture is starting to seep into the mainstream prisons and jails. It wont be long till others pick up on this act to get people to talk about crimes they're suspected for.

Yeah, give me proof other than his word. We all know he dislikes the Feds, so whose to say he's not just making it up to get back at them or something?

because if theres nothing suspicious going on then it will be easy for anyone to contact him or visit him. if no-one can then there is reasonable doubt that what he says is true. plus if he is medically examined it should be easy to find out what's going on.

if he dies soon then don't be too suprised

To Quote Ron Paul from America: Freedom to Fascism, where he spoke on this very issue of the IRS and the illigal activity that they participate in:

Aaron Russio: How can they get away with things like this.

Paul: Well, if they have all the guns, they is how they can get away with it.

AR: Isn't that the definition of a Faciscist Police state?

Paul: im sure that would be one defintion of it

Its a (blank)ing shame. The people should have the power, and we still do. And in this age of unparealled comunication powers, it seems we have never been so handcuffed, to get toghether and do the right thing... many years from now, people will look back thru the pages of history and wonder, just what in the hell was wroung with our general populace, and what they hell we were thinking for the last 100 years or so.

Eyes wide Shut

Wake up, and spread the word.

i hope this story is not true because if it is then there should be another civil war to overthrow such evil misjustice----i thought i understood that there had been a prexisting law that allowed for this man and his wife to not have to pay property taxes but that the government decided to ignore that law for him and treat him like everyone else that doesnt have his/their waiver of taxes----if thats how the government plans to deal with any citizen that tries to claim the rights they were promised till death do them part then i hope its not the browns that die over this.

what you said is so true. people often wonder how the nazis ever got into power in germany if they were so evil in what they did. well, to do nothing is to allow to to happen again.

american people listen up - if you are complacent in this going on right now then you are complicit also!

you say you are a free country and people with constitutions and rights and laws and all you claim your free country to be. well actions speak louder than words and if you take no action to preserve all you hold dear then your words mean nothing. all that they mean will be nothing soon and who will you turn to then?

the real problem is that the mentalities of the marshals and officers is that of the criminal mind. They believe in the mob mentality that the law enables them to be unjust if they feel they are right. In fact the laws are there to prevent such occurances. If the public were smart, they would get a law suit together and sue the marshalls responsible for not following constitutional law, rather socialist dictatorship law, which is not americas law at all. Plus the public should get together and review all public policy as it is fact that socialist rogue scum are intent on ruining us from within our legal system. That should be our most protected. Unfortunately these bulshaviks are infecting our cities through churches, schools, and pop culture. This whole country in my eyes is brought down by the childish behaviour of our legal and so called leadership. And they are all liars.
