I quick scanned and didn't see a similar thread, so I felt I would start one.

The presidential race has begun early this year and I feel now is an appropriate time to start laying down some predictions.

Personally, I feel Hilary is running away with things in 2008. As bad as that thought churns my stomach, I feel she has already shown her willingness to be slaves to the elite and that's what it takes these days to get yourself into the white house.

While I would LOVE to see Ron Paul get in the WH, I feel that the chances are slim and none. The fact that he is against the Federal Reserve MAFIA is enough to keep him out. However, if he does get in, I predict he will go the way of JFK within 6 months time.

That being that, what is your prediction for '08?

Will it be Clinton? Obama? Giuliani? Or perhaps someone who hasn't come into the spotlight yet?

Let me know,
Jasn

I don't think I could make a very accurate prediction at this point. I would like to say that I believe Dr Paul will draw more positive attention from the mainstream as the election nears. He's gotten a lot more respect recently just from pulling $5 million in the last quarter. Seems like I've heard less about Giuliani lately, or else I'm just filtering out whatever it is I do hear about him. Last thing I remember hearing about him was that the Catholics were considering dropping their support for him based on his views on abortion. That would have a significant impact on how he fairs. All other Republicans seem to run together in my mind. To me, Ron Paul stands out for obvious reasons, Giuliani choses to remind everyone he was mayor of NYC during 9/11 rather than actually debating the issues, then it just seems like there's everyone else (with maybe the exception of McCain, only because he has the Presidential look, and Mitt Romney just looks like a con-artist to me
).

As for Democrats, I'm fairly sure it will come down to either Obama or Clinton getting the nomination. Personally, of the two, I tend to lean more toward Obama. It may just be that he seems more personable, or that the average person, I think, can identify with Obama more than with Hillary. But who knows?

Overall, as the elections approach and more average people start getting interested in the issues, the fact that Dr Paul stands out among all other candidates, Rep and Dem, will, I believe, be to his advantage.

I'll take a stab at the two candidates... Obama vs McCain
Who I'd like/hope to see up there... Obama vs Paul

A good assessment, although I am starting to think she may be getting more of a boost from the press than she deserves. There are many people who don’t normally vote who will come out to the polls to defeat her, and those people arent holding signs on the street to let you know they are there. Also, remember who is home from 9 to 5 to answer those polls: housewives and the elderly. Those who work and dont have the time to be activists or answer polls still vote.

I used to feel the same way, but he has been picking up traction lately. He is the only Republican with an increase in contributions, over 100% increase over last quarter.

I think we will see a Hillary vs. Giuliani race, with Dr. Paul as the wild card.
