Means only the rich can read it, I can't afford that much and would love to read
them.

The 300-page volume recently came out in a limited edition -- 799 copies -- each priced at $8,377, said Scrinium publishing house, which prints documents from the Vatican's secret archives.

The work reproduces the entire documentation on the papal hearings convened after King Philip IV of France arrested and tortured Templar leaders in 1307 under charges of heresy and immorality.

I guess now we just wait for someone to put it on the net for the rest of us?

I'll wait for it to come out in paperback.

Seriously tho, I'm having a little trouble with this.
If they are historical documents, it's a crime to only release them to the wealthy like this. Hell, the Vatican's library should be open to the whole damned world. I think it's evil to repress information that should belong to humanity as a whole.

This is what the Vatican is best at. I'm sure many a question, and many a conspiracy would be answered/solved if the doors to the Vatican library were open to the public. All part of "the mystery and magnificence of the Church"?

The reason the vatican gave an apology is that the templars asked for one about 3 years ago. I have been waiting the past couple of years to see if it would happen.

Templar ask for an apology

It seemed that both sides knew they would need each other soon.

I do agree with you on this one. The only positive thing in this that I see is the poor people might eventually get to see what the documents say. Will just have to wait longer.

Persecuting people for being human is organized religion at its best. Past episodes of this soap opera interest me little. The Vatican are the modern day Pharisee's. Each one more corrupt than the next, using that information against each other, all the while proclaiming their superiority. Disgusting!
