Laser Weapons & Black Budget

I just had an interesting thought, and would like to hear people's idea's, preferably the experienced posters. This is not a debate, just a thread to gain some insight as to what people think. Because I cannot say that this is for sure, and I also don't have evidence. And I'm definitely not a politician or member of any government, and never will be. Well apparently the U.S spends roughly 400 Billion dollars a year, (not sure of exact figures) on military spending, now some say that this is like a quarter of what they really are spending, I've heard ridiculous figures, like 4 Trillion a year... Now I don't know, if this is true, but I definitely would be interested to know.

Another "conspiracy" if you like, that I've heard is, there is a "black budget" that the U.S.A has, which the public and many members of congress do not know about, and this is the reason for the ridiculous amount of money being spent a year on military. And also the reason why America is in so much debt. IMO this is a possibility, I definitely don't want to debunk the theory either.

Could they be spending this most of this money on the so called "Star Wars" weaponry system? Or maybe a a lot of it is spent on "Alien" technology or so called "reverse engineering"? now that, I definitely BELIEVE to be a possibility, that its true and happening. But then no one really knows.. I know for sure a lot of Bush's buddies know whats going on, and I think time will prevail and eventually a lot of truth will come out. Thats what I really hope anyways! before that devil Bush and his NEO Nazi pals leave government after they're finished destroying the middle east, and God knows where else.

You know we could of solved world hunger along time ago? Imagine if at least all the big powers stopped spending on military for a couple of years, and spent a lot more towards the poor individuals in 3rd world countries. I also believe we have the power to stop AIDS and Cancer at this present time. But I guess God let these things happen, or maybe even we let them happen so we can control the populations.. I don't know, can this all be true do you think? And finally I want to ask a simple yes or no question and I hope that it gets a lot of answers. Do YOU believe in God?

Thanks for that Copernicus! Wow.... Looking at it that way, you see it in a WHOLE different perspective. Where on earth is this money going and what do you think tax payers would do if they find out what its really being used for?

My mind still cannot grasp the fact that THIS MUCH money is being spent yearly..
