The Air Force cancelled a F-22 flyby at the Dayton airshow this summer, as well.
Just curious: has anybody seen one at an air show this year?

I think it has been canceled as Miramar is not on the official ACC F-22 demo schedule, notice the bolded text...

The ACC F-22A Raptor Demonstation Team is scheduled to appear at the following 2007 events:

September:
28-30 -- Columbus, Ohio

October:
5 -- Tyndall AFB, FL
27-28 -- NAS JRB New Orleans, LA

November:
3-4 -- Kennedy Space Center, FL
10-11 -- Nellis AFB, NV

This schedule is subject to change without notice.

Actually saw it this year at the Toronto Airshow in Canada and I was on top of one of the water front buildings. I'd say he was about 2-400 ft and climbing with afterburners right over head at one point. It was there first show of the offical demo outside of the US. Really great show with a flyby of the F-16C a P-51D and the raptor as well.

Also as Westy said they put that text at the bottom of every airshow publishing for a reason. I'd have actually lost count of the number of airshow/demos I've went to where someone didn't show or someone did that wasn't suppose to. Part of the fun I guess.

Yea although it isnt on the schedule page anymore they left a little blurb of f-22 raptor on the main pages graphic and there are still pictures of the raptor up, *crosses fingers* It would be disappointing if it were canceled

It's been cancelled. I got an email: "Due to maintenance issues, the F-22 and MV-22 Osprey has cancelled. In
addition, the plane
flying with the Heritage Flight will be the P-51 and not the P-38 Lightning.

Sorry for the schedule change. "

T-birds and blue angels do the same thing every year and I love to see them

Oh well disappointing, but I hope they perform at the March ARB air show this year I will definitely be there
I saw the 07 f-22 demo schedule anyone know if there is one that goes as far out as mid-2008?

It's quite possible...

That it was canceled due to the unusual inclement weather(Monday thru Thursday was perfect)... I was quite disgusted when I was rained on Saturday... I thought Friday's Thunderbirds routine seemed slower and more spread out than other recent performances I have seen (they were as spread out as they were in the Phantom II days... And now I've dated myself). Nothing is more dangerous than LoCal/SoCal drivers in the rain... Perhaps that extends to the skies as well...

Meh... Give me the Blue Angles any day...

Yea they tend to hurry up their performances in the rain, I have been very unlucky
Yesterday the T-birds got some rain and when I was up in Oregon at the Blue Angels show they also were in hurry up mode due to weather.... Oh well I hope to catch March this year, I highly doubt it will be raining up there

I don't think so, earlier this year Maj. Moga flew an F-22 demo up at Elmendorf for the 90th FS' 90th anniversary. The conditions were similar to the ones you described and the show went on as usual…

This linked post talks about the above mentioned event in detail.

Hi, just a quick word on F-22. It was at Rickenbacker International (ex-AFB) on Sept 27-30. And it was amazing. Only aircraft I've ever seen do a vertical stall and enter a 270 degree turn in it's pitch plane (over it's back), followed by two 180 degree turns in it's yaw plane, (one to the left, and one to the right). All at zero forward velocity (it turned on it's own axis), and then fly away with no apparent loss of control. Nothing else can do that. Well, ok, some helicopters can. No fixed wing aircraft can yet, but I'm sure some will soon. I've got pics and avi files, movies. I'm working to edit them into a nice copy of what I saw that day.

there is a great possibility that both the v22 osprey and the f22 are not available because they are currently scheduled for use in Iran the pre-emptive strike which will come with in a year.

Do you have a link to provide proof for this?
Im just curious, as I know people personally attached to the F22

Frankly, not it's not, any strike involving Raptors or Ospreys would not in any way whatsoever result in a change of public demonstration schedules, let alone a year in advance. The Raptor demo team currently consists of one qualified pilot, and he does not have any one specific airframe. Even if both the 27th and 94th were deployed there would still be plenty of Raptors to choose from when it came to performing a demo.

Oooh thats debatable!

I have a question on the yaws though.. were they consecutive, i.e. with no manuever in between? almost like an oscillation?
I'm quite interested in this yaw bit..
