Of all the many predictions of the end of the world the only advantage 2012 has is that it is in the future. The other dates, hundreds, if not thousands in number, have come and gone. We're still here. But since no one can prove absolutely that a future event won't happen, we are stuck with prophecy, which does not have an especially good track record.

Sadly, people fall for these predictions and 'head for the hills' all the time. My cousin and I were discussing one such family just the otherr day. They are his cousins on his mother's side of the family. In this case both father and mother packed up, sold all their stuff, left good paying jobs in the San Francisco area, and headed for the hills in Northern California to await the destruction. They are a Jehovas Witnesses family. Well, they were up in the hills for a spell with the rest of their troupe, but nothing happened at the appointed hour. They went back to San Francisico and managed to scrape by. They were financially ruined. His career as an IT guy for Lucky Stores was destroyed. It was all very sad. They are now in their sixties.

And now one of their sons has sold all his stuff and is moving to Northern California to await the destruction. It's a sad story becaue, of course, other people are involved, including children. But also, and this is the saddest part. You really cannot do anything to save your friend. She has the right to her beliefs, to free association, to freedom of religion. She also has the right to 'disappear' in terms of not associating with her old life, including you.

So let's say you were successful in locating this person. Let's say you traveled to her location and managed to circumvent her reistance to see you, as well as the resitance of her new friends. What could you do? Talk to her. Obviously. Have you ever tried to talk anyone out of a closely held belief? they don't take it too well. Secondly, you could try 'deprogramming.' Google the term for tons of information. Ironically, this is probably illegal because it entails kidnapping your target, holding her against her will, and yelling at her until she breaks. Ironically, both courts and 'civil rights activists' have deplored this procedure as brainwashing in itself. Doublespeak is alive and well, and it ain't just the government.

I'm not advocating any of these options, just pointing out what a tight spot you are in with reagrds to what you really CAN do.

Schuyler is right on the money with this point. What you can do though, is make sure other people do not fall prey to these scams. The only way to weed out these charlatons, and that is just what they are charlatons, is to face them head on. Make people question what they are hearing, don't let them take the easy way out by letting other people make their minds up for them.

The closer we get to 2012 the more we are going to hear stories like this. We need to watch 2012 alright, but not the way most of these money whores would like you to believe. Don't let your friends and family buy into the hype.

Luther Blissett

I am assuming that the main reason you created this thread was to get help on digging up more info on this "Star People" group. I am surprised that not that many people here have actually offered their assistance in digging up more info on this group.

I offer my assistance when I have some free time to help dig up more info on this group.

Wasn't there a group out there that called them selfs something like "Annuki" and claimed that they where our star bothers & sisters?

I would like to also add that there are plenty of people here that have much more info on groups like this, they just have not posted yet.

3rdeye is a reported 17 year old who registered here last month. Luther has been around awhile. Neiher have posted much. I wonder if this is a coincidence. In any case, it may ebe able to be resolved by comparing IP addresses. If someone wants to complain to the mods we may be able to figure it out.

Go to the police, report her missing. Give them her first and last name. Give them the name of the cult, and any info you or your friends have on the cult. In the end, you could be saving a friend's life.

I'm not Luther. My name is related to my love of the band Tool. One of their songs is called "Third eye." And I'm very much informed about my "Third eye"

Their is another Thirdeye on the boards. Doesn't mean he is Luther. Pure coincidence, Thirdeye is used in many places.

Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like she has been caught up in a cult akin to the Moonies. I would go to the Police for sure. I think there is a yahoo discussion group in whaich star people meet each other. It was posted on ATS a long time ago. if anyone has the link to that discussion group then the OP can try and contact so called Star People that way. mind you you have to be accepted as a member first.

@ OP

What I find odd is that this friend, you talk about, left her loving family to live with the "Star People" because they will be the only ones left after 2012. To me this seems very selfish.

If she really thinks that "Star People" are the only ones which will survive after 2012, why abandon her family when she could spend 5 more years with them or instead take them with her to become "Star People" too, aka save them. That is if you love your family and you really think the world will end in 2012.

Her decision to abandon everything that loved her is a truly sad act. Even if I were 100% sure the world would end and only these "Star People" would survive, I wouldn't abandon what loves me. Never. I would die with my family or try to survive with my family.

Her values are so missplaced. I do not know if I got this right or what those "Star People" did to her, but certain values must not change even in the most dangerous times, aka End of the World.

If nothing happens in 2012, then she will learn a valuable lesson. She will see that you should never put "Star People" above love and that she should never let others control her.

I know you search for something to help you find her, but I never heard of such an organisation, aka "Star People". I read a lot on the Net about Star People, Star Seeds, etc. But nothing to take the shape of a cult or organisation which "takes" people.

She is responsible for her decisions, we have to respect that, even if we know it's bad for her. If she had known what matters in life she would have been with her family now. Maybe she needs this experience to find herself.

Thats kinda funny because while doing a couple of searches I found this yahoo link. It seems to be a yahoo group message board about Reptilians but there is alot of mention about star people in it. I did not read through the whole thing but you may find some very interesting stuff in there.

health.groups.yahoo.com...

Of course you have to be a yahoo member to look at the link. If you are not a yahoo member its free and it only takes a few seconds and few clicks of a button to join.

This sounds familiar to me. About 12 years ago, I met a couple calling themselves "Star People, Aliens, Angels" and they advocated getting as many credit cards as possible and amassing as larege a debt as possible because the Y2K glitch will wipe out all computer records and no more dept and the world will be in chaos so move to the hills and get ready. They led a group of people who followed this idea. If any of this rings true OP, private message me and I will let you know what i know and it MIGHT hepl. I am SO glad i left them...you have no idea. And yes, they were from the West Coast and were recruiting pretty young females.

As much as i'd hate to say it, it may be the case that the only option available is to go to them yourself.

If they refuse to give you details of her whereabouts or say that she doesn't wish to speak to you, i suggest you go to the police.

The fact that you seem indecisive about the matter of whether or not to go to the police seems to suggest you are willing to let her do what she thinks is right, and that is noble - i guess.

What i suggest that you DON'T do, is go gallavanting off to find her without letting anyone else know about it - inform your friends of what you intend to do, if you intend to do something.

My first and foremost advice is to go to the police. No harm can come of it.

Hmmm, so 2012 equals 2007? I'm not sure that mathematical equation is valid, or evidence. But hey! If you say December 23, 2007 is the Real Deal, that's great! That just means we have only a few weeks to call that one bogus. But we still have five long years to gnaw at 2012.

I wish OP luck with the police. I suspect they won't do anything if it looks like she left on her own. We just had a case around here where a woman drove off a road into a ditch where no one could see her. Her husband reported her missing, but all the cops did was give him a lie detector test. They refused to 'ping' her cell phone to find out her location. She nearly died of dehydration. She'll be in the hospital a long time with serious liver damage. All because it violated 'policy.'

People, people, people, before accepting this 2012 stuff, which i would like to believe, but i see to many things against it eg

If the world government new about the 2012, and that maybe even aliens are going to come down in their craft from the skies, why would America, Europe, Asia and so forth, have plans for things they seem to be building to be ready for decades to come?

NASA, china, Russia, going to the moon 2020, billions of dollars being spent on such things...

Who ever wins the presidency in 2008, will have this crap on their plate....i don't see this happening.....

To lull the masses into believing nothing is wrong, to keep us paying taxes - which can mean one of two things;

1: The political elite intend to survive the coming troubles.

2: The political elite intend to use that tax money to do something about the coming troubles.

Let me put it like this; If the masses go into hysteria, there ain't jack [profanity removed] the government can do about it.
