Strange White Light Over House

Last night around 1:30 AM EST there was a steady white light moving over my house. There is an airport nearby so I know what jets look like when they fly at night, but this looked lower, its light was steady, and it moved slowly, compared to jets. But what else was strange, I turned away to grab something, and I turn back and it is gone, no trace whatsoever. I could not get a picture then, because it would not come out, and it only lasted for about 30 or 40 seconds.

Does anyone have an opinion on what it was?

EDIT: I live in Northumberland PA, so no one is confused by the NY Giant Balloon.

it probobly couldnt have been an airplane or jet. maybe it looked like it was moving steady because it was just moving the opposite direction as you?

There were four jets moving in that general direction, and this thing did not look like any of them, the light was continuous, it never blinked, like the strobes on jets are supposed to. Not to mention the fact that it just vanished.
