Just saw this on the local news....

'Ghost' Caught on camera' You'll need Realplayer to watch it.

Go there and then click on "Ghost' caught on camera' (5th image down on the right). I doubt that this is really a ghost, but it's still a fairly odd piece of camera flair, either way I thought you guys at ATS would like to see it

Well picked up. Definently would be an extraordinary capture if it were determined to be authentic. I dont know what effects could cause an image like that except if its someone blurred out

oh come on !!!!! listen to the audio, its dubbed and also looks like the presenters are just acting .... i think that this is totally fake.

I think this is one of those poor attempts by a news team to add a 'light hearted' news item to an otherwise boring days broardcasting.

I used to live in the north and they used to do this kind of thing every now and then on the local evening news.

It's not dubbed, the sound just goes uot of sync (watch the other news items which have a much better sound to prove it) If you used to live up North you'd know that Harry Gration has done it for years.

It's not fake, but certainly none of them belive that it's a ghost. It's a light hearted news story - tonight they did a follow up where people had sent in stupid photographs.

Read what i said again FudgeStix ! I think you will find that i also said that.

I'm not originally from the north (im from the east midlands) but worked in harrogate for 2 years. I've seen bbc video posts before that they are not normally that out of sync.

I would say the video quality is way too poor in order to examine it. I would suggest finding a good one if you can - therefore I can't see too much of it being a ghost or "roman soldier"?

I don't know where to find a better version really, heres a news article but it's not much better with a picture. BBC NEWS| England | Bradford

I agree it looks nothing like a roman soilder, to me it has more of a puffy trousered Tudor/Stuart look to it - But then the eye can make you see anything really, somone could probably say it looks like a Leprechaun in a top hat waving at the camera lol.

Maybe try watching the whole show online? I don't know if the qualitys any better on there. I don't see why this has to be fake just because the quality of the sound on the video is poor? It's linked from the BBC look north homepage, so I hope your not implying that I've faked it. Go to the site through google instead of through the BBC site itself and it will still come up the same.

No i'm not implying that you faked it ... i visited the BBC site the same as you have to view the video ...... its very badly sync'ed ..... obviously our licence fee isnt high enough eh fudgestix! bet it will be in the next licence increase as an excuse for the digital change over !

Sorry to say, i still thing the whole thing is fake though ....
