Ok, I have been looking at the perspective again and just accepting for arguments sake that this is a building I concluded that the white surfaces are the sides of the building instead of the top as seen in the drawings of others. I used the circle craterlike form as a reference point.

See my attempts here:

comments?

Indeed weird. Now I see your point...
In your perspective the "pipe" would almost be straight to the ground, the rest would have an angle to it.

I pointed three reference point, hoping this would help with the excellent work which is being done in in order to study the perspectives (Pjotr: thank you too
): the objects are definately in the same area, but now it would be clear.

The second and the third pics should be useful for the same purpose: this time i rotated one of the two pics in order to match their orientation.

GOOD Internos... thats makes sence!

We drawed in the upside down version...

Lets do some drawing in the opposite Right way... WoW!!??

Original:

Better to enlarge the original "NASA?" photo up side down. This jpg conversion seems to lose some important data. But ok.

And here it is..... a PowerPlant!?

Watch the other structures in the area. Its a sort of a facility we are looking at.

Of course some things could be drawen better, but looking at it for an hour or so... you see more and more and more.
Whatever the mistakes are I made here..... :

This is DEFENITALY artificial. Nope, this is no imagination... Its based on common sence

How do I find the strips to the left and right of M11-01782 (image strip). I am wondering if in that area could be found structures also.

To the left I also spotted this. So there could be more. It would make this side more significant then it allready is

ok, i found the "object" on the image and have run it through a few filters in photoshop and it seems to have cleaned it up a bit ..... see what you think.

Judging from the coherent direction of the streaks/lines pointed out by Pjotr, I would venture to guess it may have fallen in line with the prevailing winds.

I like to entertain the thought, however, that what we see here is an artificial structure, quite possibly of ancient lineage, that has succumbed to the ever-present winds of the ages.

He Goosdawg or scepticsRus, I like the perspective of the filtered version. The big white surface could be a side in yours OR a very slanted surface, now it looks like a bit old fashioned factory roof. Great!

Looks like some sort of mining operation going on IMO. The structure is even casting a shadow. The original picture contained some odd features on the very far lower part. Could this be odd formation terrain or something more artificial ? Anyone notice this ?

Lunica, in the ancillary data for MOC narrow-angle image M11-01782
there are these coordinates:

Longitude of image center: 37.81°W
Latitude of image center: 82.46°S

I'm really having hard time in order to find the exact area of the both strips the left and the right ones: and i've tried in many ways.
The coordinates refers to the center of the strip, which is 76.82 KM long.

Anyway, on this cached page

/2eskzf

there are some chances to find it.

But i'm looking for it again.

In the moment i'd find the strips, i'll send you an u2u.
And, yes, i noticed some others thing in the area, but i don't want to circle them: i'm waiting that the others wil notice them by themselves. If this happens, maybe i was right, id it doesn't, i was wrong.
You last drawings enhances the fact that are almost all geometrically shaped objects:: my hope is to find other pics of the same area, hopefully in a better res.

Whatever it is it looks as though it hit the surface pretty hard.

Anyone have a link to an original? Like a NASA source? I'd like to see a high res version to see if it's a fake. If it looks too good to be true....

I don't know. That looks extremely far-fetched. Has anyone checked HiRISE yet to see if they've got a source image? Or is that where the OP found it at? If not, It'd be worth looking over there:

hirise.lpl.arizona.edu...

Enjoy.

This looks built to me.
Maybe a building of some kind, but could well be space craft wreckage-maybe old booster rockets?
Ok the thing looks massive for a space craft-but I agree with the poster who said that a mars space craft would have to quite huge.
Anyone know when the photo was taken?-the links don't work for me.

This looks a damn sight more interesting than the so called "trees" and "glass tubes".
And that fact that the links stopped working just as this thread got going speaks volumes to me.

Great post OP!

Thank you, Silcone Synapse.

Here are the data you requested:

To answer to another post:
As said before, the source is
Malin Space Science Systems
www.msss.com...

and humbly i don't think that they waste their time photoshopping the pics from Mars, and i think that it would be ILLEGAL too, but maybe i'm wrong.

I dont think this is a space craft wreckage. If that would be the case I would have expected more unorganized trash

I just simply think its a building with some other structures around it. We only can guess about its purpose.

But IMO I clearly see a smaller pipe going to a longer part of a device. It looks like an engine or something?

About the pictures left and right to it, i guess they arent there.

When looking in the MOC library. I get an overview of "a polar" area of mars". There I can click on spots where a photo exist. But the area is not completely photographed.
I havent looked at the specific coordinates to see if there exist a photo near to this area.

To get a better idea of where we are looking at.

The arrow indicates where the structure is

Try to pic the right image and go here: Click and pray you have chosen the right spot
MOC South Pole

There is a chance we can find another sturcture on one of the other images...

With these other angles it does lose its shuttle appearance. Originally I thought shuttle style craft, now I agree it is probably a building, however the silo part in the overlaid drawing looks like contrast in soil color rather than part of the structure.

Great

There are some more objects (one or two worthy ) but first I want to highlight them better before I post them.
Maybe then you can add the locations to the general oversight picture you have made?

To bad there are no other imagestrips next to this one. Apparently this is an area with a lot of anomalies.
But I guess on other strips from the MOC images there will be more anomalies to be found. I have looked into 20 strips yet and found nothing. But I am not giving up yet

Wow, that image is interesting! A large area of that almost looks like a petrafied forest or something. What would cause rock formations like that?

And is it just me, or does it look like there's liquid water in that map? One of those shimmering, rippled surfaces even looks like it has a reflection of a bright light on it. Just above Lunica_001 and Lunica_003 is what I'm talking about... it looks like a lake with an island in the middle.

Internos, what happened to that other anomaly you sent me? Hope you got my overlay.
Why don't you post it here? It's pretty interesting too!
Let's see what the others have to say!

Cheers!
