CLARKSVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A business owner shot and killed himself during a City Council meeting Thursday night after members voted against his request to rezone his property, witnesses said.

I guess all his hopes where riding on the councils decision.

This is sad, and really what can you say. He could have hired a lawyer and fought the decision. Or just tried again at the next meeting, this is a crazy reason to kill yourself

I bet they have metal detectors at the next meeting.

Men, stop going to big chain salons with eighty year old women. Support your local barbers, and tip well.

Sounded like the last desperate act of a man who's lively hood was destroyed by the hand of another. This fellow no doubt had everything banked on his business and needed the zoning to get a loan to continue.

Life is that way and sometimes it is to much to accept.
