I am sure some of you have read the "Odd Thomas" series of books by Dean Koontz. Though of you that have should know what I"m talking about.
However, for those that haven't read them, I will briefly explain.
Odd Thomas is a character created by Dean Koontz. He is a young guy who can see ghosts.
There are a couple of interesting theories set forth in these books and I want to get your input on them.
**SPOILERS** **SPOILERS** If you want to read these books and don't want any part of them spoiled for you, skip to the /SPOILERS text.
1. There are "shadow people" style ghosts who seem to be entertained by tragedy. They seen by Odd shortly before a tragic even happens.
2. The dead cannot speak. They show themselves and can hint but they have no voice to say what they want to say.
3. There is a life after death theory in the books as well. Odd's girlfriend Stormy think that this life is a "boot camp" of sorts for us. It's
purpose is to get us prepared for the next life where we will be "warrior" types.
/SPOILERS
I find these theories quite fascinating. Of any I have come across, these make as much (or more) sense as any other theory relating to these
things.
What do you guys think?
Sure, the novels are works of fiction and these little theories are thrown in to balance the story and for entertainment puposes. However, I feel the
theories could very well be true.
Guess we'll see when we die eh?
