Here is a short one, seems like time just doesn't allow us the subtle fun things we should take more advantage of.

Wow 30 story's submitted so far!! Lots of great story's and lots of new faces too. Well done everyone.
The judges are going to need about a week just to read them all.

What to do, what to do....

Jeez, look at all these stories! This makes me sad and competitive at the same time.

Sad, because I know its not likely for me to win, and competitive because I know its not likely for me to win, lol.

I am impressed with all of the quality work being done in this contest! WE could publish a short story book and split the cash... I have not read one that would be discounted. How many have there been in the past?

A fine idea..I posted one that reminds some of Final Destination the movie.

I think this is a great idea. I'm sure we could get it done too. There is some real quality work here!

Dont forget to put (SSSC) in the thread title as well as the story title.

How long does it take a story to be pinned for the competition?

I posted two days ago, I'm running out of time before the deadline is over LOL!

sorry about the delay in topping entries, but no worries, the forum will be searched for entries at midnight on 10/28 and all submissions with SSSC will be topped. Those who enter and currently don't have writer's status will also have it at the close of the contest.

so don't forget to those last minutes entries in.............

Worldwatcher...thanks for the opportunity to write again.I needed that.
Definitely some strong competitive writers out there.
I loved to read what everyone else's idea of a scary story is.
I can't wait for the next contest...get my creative juices flowing again.

Dammit, just when i finish reading all the story's i go away for a bit come back and theres more to read.
I've been involved in a few of these short story comps and i've never seen this many entry's before. Must be close to a record surely?

Well here we sit on the eve of the judging. It's so exciting to be part of something that encourages the best in all of us. Many more stories have come to the surface since I placed my 3 in the contest. Next year maybe we could enter more? Ha ha ha jk it must be too much for the judges as it is! Best of luck to everyone. I still have more reading to do, so many came in at the 11th hour.
