My own experiences at work.

I am a 3rd shift security officer at a certain chemical company in the Cincinnati area. I started working here about three months ago. Ever since I started working here, I have been feeling very uneasy in one of the laboratorys on the third floor. It always feels like I am being watched, or even followed. Two weeks ago, while I was in that lab, the lights turned off by themselves and I then heard a door slam.
The doors to the labs have piston shock-absorbers in them, it is impossible for them to slam. Also, during the time I work, there are 2 people in the building, me and the other guard who stays on the first floor while I patrol.
This happened twice within a week. I asked one of the janitors who gets off when I get to work, and he said that he feels the same way when in this peticular lab. I also asked one of the guards that has been here the longest. He said that a few years ago, there was a guard that died on the third floor while working. There are also stories of fires and explosions in the labs, although there is no record of this. And while working this morning, I was looking straight at a set of windows when I saw someone in a white shirt walk by on the other side. The guards wear white, and it was no reflection. Just something to think about.
I just wanted to share my story, and to see if anyone else has had anything like this happen to them.

Did the other gaurd say how he died? Did he mention feeling this feeling prior to the death of the gaurd?

I would love to experience something scary like that. I believe in ghosts, but the only thing ive personally experienced was the lid of a can popping off and flying up into the air, then landing on the ground. The can was standing on top of the TV me and a friend was watching. It was pretty unexplainable.

Thats all ive experienced though.

Yeah, he died of cancer. He also said that there were two more guards tham only lasted about three days here because of this. He said that they would run down to the lobby and tell him that they saw someone. He asked what they looked like, and they described him perfectly. This was on two different occasions a few weeks apart, about a year after he died.

He said that he never felt this way, but that he also ignores everything but what his job entails when he does his patrol.

Chemical company...cancer. What kind of chemicals are in the lab? Any carcinogens? Supposing it is a 'haunting', most of the time there's a motivation for doing so, no? I'm also curious about the explosions and fires. What's going on in that lab and are the hiring?

Well, on the 4th floor, there are things like Methel Alumoxane-a very volatile, reactive chemical. I believe there is Nitro Glycerine somewhaere in the building. None of the chemicals are in areas where fumes came build up, all in ventilated boxes where the vapors are vented over a wide area outside the building.
