I like to win things

I mentioned this in a previous thread. But now I think it couldn't work.

The Mods and Admin need a place where they can discuss things privately. If the Cosmic Forum setup is the same as the others then any non Mod or non Admin could go through all threads on the Forum. So it would influence who won the award which is not it's purpose.
Temporary access wouldn't be realistic if you think about it.

Another "no" vote.

Mods/admins need to have a certain level of technical ability.

No1 What would happen if someone went mad with power, or if somehow truth got the award, yikes! Or if I did, but then truth sent a u2u as he has several times to piss me off, then I went nuts for a little bit and say, deleted everything he posted. That could be bad, very bad.

This is why there are multiple Mods and Admins.

Like I said it is just an idea...

On the up side it would be nice for one of us peasants to get a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes, the ATS award winner could be like a memebers' emissary.

But yeah I get you guys' point, I just wanted to bring up the idea. Thanx.

I would make an excellent choice for ambassador....

Why don't we make a forum just for the winner, and they can post to themselves in that for a month?

Sorry that the idea of going to cosmic is a bad idea, Kano wouldn't share his beer, and Alien keeps hogging the sofa.

Guess you would have to sit on the floor with me and Willie...

Well...I don't know if we're going to have a Christmas party this year anyway...as the Local Fire Dept has already issued us a warning and the Land Lord has threatened to kick us out if there is a repeat of last year - which I blame on that trouble-making Aussie, Kano.

Kano...I don't care if she IS your girlfriend...ya can't bring any more Kangaroos this time...your last 'date' left a hell of a mess and tried to hop off with all our silverware stuffed in her pouch.

And Fantastic_Damage...it would indeed be nice for you peasants to have a peek into the inner sanctum of ATS, maybe we should run Guided Tours or something??

Remember though that no person has simply come on board ATS instantly as a Moderator...ALL Mods have at one time been normal ATS members. A number of Mods have been members of ATS since the very first ATS Board, back in the pop-up plagued EZ-Board days. For instance, I have been a loyal member of ATS for over 2 years now.

But maybe if you spike a few of our drinks with something poisonous...bumped off a few...arranged some 'convenient accidents' there would be a few vacancies available

Peace,
ALIEN

Dude...you need Naaaaaaaaawwws!! Crack up man...funny how many myths that movie 'Fast and the Furious' has created...get NOS and ya instantly doing 10s...yup, whatever

My car?? Definitely NOT a Supra RZ...can't afford one of them bad boys...plus I prefer smaller 4WD turbo hatchbacks (which I have), more nimble and light...power to wieght ratio is awesome. 20s or 22s?? EEEEEK! Damn...here in NZ, 20s are pretty rare, 22s need to be specially imported and cost about as much as the car people put them on...so we make do with 17s and 18s on smaller cars.

Peace,
ALIEN

Rotary's all the way.

RX-7 Series III , 13b Rotor, and TURBO is all u need.

(series VI is nicer but totally out of my price range)

The smaller hatchbacks are nice too tho. The AE86 Sprinter is the next car im savin for - Doing it up 'Initial D' style

...well, this thread is departing from what it was...

...but heres a pic for ya Eze, taken from a Dyno Day we (car club) ran yesterday...one of the cars was a Lotus Kit Car with a 13b J-port...check out the Monsta-Tach in this photo...notice where the 10,000rpm peak mark is...then notice how far PAST that mark the needle is
The needle simply couldn't move any further...it was stuck against the side of the tacho! Man that sucker could rev!

WHOA DOGGY

Peace,
ALIEN

I hear ya!
That's about the extent of my rice burner knowledge.
I am so out of that loop: last monster I had was an Audi Quattro Coupe, and that's 12 years ago. As you know, nothing beats 4WD & HP!
Though my Saab 9000 Aero is a business duty choice, I have been known to gobble up everything from z28's to M5's by fourth gear...hit 5th....and FOR GED DA BOOUT IT!! a '94 with 120,000 miles with nothing but a clutch gone south.
FEAR THE TORQUE!!!

Hehehe...know exactly whatcha mean Bout Time...I love smoking large V8s who think that just coz they have a motor 3 or 4 times the size of mine that they are gonna whoop my butt...power to wieght mate, thats what its all about...

...only problem is I'm running a close-ratio 5spd g.box...got the power, got the mad acceleration, but haven't got the legs...so I absolutely smoke the majority of those V8 slugs but they eventually haul me back in on a long straight as I'm bouncing off the rev-limiter in 5th
