Congress debate begins on North America Union

www.nworeport.com

A House resolution urging President Bush "not to go forward with the North American Union or the NAFTA Superhighway system" is – according to its sponsor Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., in an exclusive WND interview – "also a message to both the executive branch and the legislative branch."

As WND previously reported, on Jan. 22 Goode introduced H.C.R. 40, titled "Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada."

The source for your article is from World Net Daily. I thought that wasn't a very credible source, from what I've heard from others on this board. Typically called World Nut Daily from what I remember.

Wrong. That is not the source. It is who reported it.

Use your brain, and verify the information within before coming to an ignorant conclusion:

Library of Congress HR 40

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That--

(1) the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System;

(2) the United States should not allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) to implement further regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and

(3) the President of the United States should indicate strong opposition to these acts or any other proposals that threaten the sovereignty of the United States.

WOW.....

That was a bit rude and uncalled for.

As far as a North American Union, a lot will need to change first.

USA will need to get rid of their guns.
USA will need universal health care.
USA will need to stop war mongering.

It seems to me that the USA wants to get it's hands on Canada's resources like water, oil, timber, minerals, access to the north. We already supply more of these to the USA than any other country, but they want more.
They also seem to want the cheap labour from Mexico.

Part of this plan may also include the oil reserves in Venezuela, but Hugo would need to go first.

Don't expect Canada to hop on this train anytime soon.

Thank you, that was rude and uncalled for. I was being very nice in what I stated. I'm surprised there wasn't a warn issued for such rude behavior.
It's a shame some people have to act like they're so superior to others.

Glad I discovered this thread. I just watched some videos on YouTube, thanks to Copernicus' thread North American Union.

I didn't realize that Congress had started debating this issue as of Sept. 25th. However, on one of the videos I viewed, Dr. Jerome Corsi who works with the website: www.minutemanproject.com was able to get the FOIA to release around 1,000 pages of info on SPP.

This is my email I sent to Jim Gilchrist at Minuteman a short time ago.

Dear Mr. Gilchrist:

I have just watched a video on YouTube. The guest speaker was Dr. Jerome Corsi.

I am dumbfounded how President Bush is getting away with these illegal actions. How can Congress sit back and pretend that they don't know anything about this Security of Prosperity Partnership especially since it was signed in 2005.

Even if people continue to write Congress, they already know that it is unconstitutional. Aren't these actions taken by President Bush impeachable? The United States needs to remain the United States, not The North American Union. There are also immigration laws in place for America that requires a certain population of legal immigrants into our Country....has anyone brought that fact up.

Obviously, the big corporations will benefit...but in my opinion they have already depleted the "employable American people" by having their products and goods made in other countries.
Plus, there are already U. S. Immigration Laws that specify the populace of legal immigrants that come into the U.S. each year.....doesn't the North American Union violate these laws. In addition, Americans will be issued some type of electronic ID card....no doubt a person will be able to be tracked by this card.

Mr. Gilchrist, I'd like to ask you that if these actions by President Bush are not acts of treason against the Military, Congress, The Constitution, and all of the American people.....then could you tell me what is an impeachable act by a President.

Sincerely,
-------------------------

If I am incorrect with anything I stated in my email to Mr. Gilchrist, I apologize.....I am not that well versed on this topic.

Congress has not started debating the NAU. The bill was introduced in January, and hasn't even been scheduled for debate yet. I'm not sure if it even made it out of committee.
