Re-write, quote from the movie Serendipity…
Original Excerpt:
“Jonathan Trager, prominent television producer for ESPN, died last night from complications of losing his soul mate and his fiancee. He was 35
years old. Soft-spoken and obsessive, Trager never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of his life, he revealed an unknown
side of his psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate, a woman whom he
only spent a few precious hours with. Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter failure. Yet even in certain
defeat, the courageous Trager secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But
rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of his dear friend, Dean Kansky, the Pulitzer
Prize-winning author and executive editor of the New York Times, described Jonathan as a changed man in the last days of his life. "Things were
clearer for him," Kansky noted. Ultimately Jonathan concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a
powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as destiny.”
Re-write:
“You could be a prominent television producer for ESPN, or a bum off the street, but guess what you just died last night from complications of
losing your soul mate and your fiancée. You could be 35, 18 or 80 years old. An you were soft-spoken and obsessive, you never looked the part of a
hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of your life, you happened to reveal an unknown side of your psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian or deep
persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie detective-like pursuit of your long reputed soul mate, a person whom you have only spent a few precious
hours with. Sadly, the protracted search ended late one fateful night in complete and utter failure. Yet even in certain defeat, you the courageous
seeker secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh, mmMmm. But rather, it is a
tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime an magnificent plan. When asked about the loss of there dear friend, your best friend, the
unashamed an most magnificent person, described you as a changed person in the last days of your life. "He told me,” I can see things so
clearly.”" Your friend noted. Ultimately you have concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universal cosmos, we must all possess a
powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as fate or destiny itself.”
Faith in fate, is that something? Is it possible and truly worth doing? A great an astonishing thing could happen, what would it be? Can you imagine
it, or is it just “faith” to you? To have faith in something is one thing you see, your literally see it with your own two eyes, you dream it
imagine it, it so incredibly an undeniably real. Fate? To have faith in this, now that is something! In its essence, two simple words would accomplish
all your need for energy to pursue fate that is Hope. Hope in it self means nothing at all, a name of a person a meaning of no end an oil farmer might
say, a meaning of no beginning a world hasten by war might know. But hope? Hope for fate, hope for faith, it is so incredibly wonderful is it not?
So you end up, finding Hope, looking for faith to have in fate, so awfully confusing it is, but than again, you will know at that simple an most quiet
second of your life, when you know that someone else, someone somehow not only thought of this, but is thinking an hoping, an waiting for that faith
in that fate to lead them to you.
But something is so dearly missing, o yes that word Serendipity, a word that took fate to make it, a true story by the way look it up. More than that
the word itself with its own story of fate, so many people in this life can relate to as a reason of why destiny goes the way it does. I think its
something to do with faith; I believe that serendipity is nothing without faith, it is just plainly a word, an in that, fate without faith is nothing
either. How can you be at peace with anything and not have faith in anything. Well that’s where love comes in, you expect that all these would just
go together in some beautiful magnificent piece of art or tapestry; well when you leave out hope, you get lost love, when you leave out faith you have
lost fate, an when you leave out fate you get nothing. Well so many people that live life think they can do it themselves, you get life without fate,
an then you have people that can rely on fate only when it best suits them, so than you have someone that lives life without faith. You also run into
people who believe in faith, and know there fate, but keep searching for things to fill them up with things & people to make there loss of fate seem
more real, here people live without hope. Now you have this last element, it is always around you, when you see someone running, crying, hurt or in
pain, when you see the worse; this is people living without love. These people need it, they search for it, some find it and lose it, and some find
it, an it is stolen, an some people lose it. Love is everything to a human; it’s the essence of living, without love you have never truly lived. So
it all comes back to everything that matters to never be lost, the thing you can choose to have that will make everything worth while. Hope, with
faith in fate, then right than you will have that love, not all of it, but just enough, the love in faith in fate powered by the hope that someone
somewhere is doing the exact same thing you are, chasing this exact destiny, this dream come true an you both have tickets for the ride of your lives
one day to ride together into eternity.
For now don’t go and die or give-up on everything, you just need start with hope, something new’, it is not a pursuit anymore, it is just plain
hope to have in something you know is worth it, something small an real to you… and maybe, just maybe you will surely find your way to every
destined element that life has to offer, that will surely give you that faith for fate to lead your destiny for ride of your life whatever, or
whoever’ it might be…
