Ahmadinejad: US wants different opinions

hosted.ap.org

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- A day before flying to New York to speak directly to the American people, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck a confrontational tone Saturday with a parade of fighter jets and missiles and tough warnings for the United States to stay out of the Mideast.

Three new domestically manufactured warplanes streaked over the capital during the parade marking the 27th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Iran, which sparked a 1980-88 war that killed hundreds of thousands of people.

Very scary! This rings back to when Hitler declared America was an enemy during one of his speeches. What does the future bring? Is it two sides of the same coin?

Like I mentioned in the other thread, it was probably for domestic consumption.

Link to the other thread:

Iran Shows Off New Missile, Taunts Israel

KINGOFPAIN: He won't. They need him to keep saying the things hardliners say so that they can continue painting Iran as the Evil Bad Guy.

Yes no doubt it's for domestic consumption.

But I reckon the guy's got balls o' steel to visit a place where he's probably got very few sympathisers.

That was what I was going to post on this thread. I honestly can't see him leaving the US alive. Some "madman" will shoot him, that's my guess.

I for one would not shed a tear if his plane just 'happened' to go missing.

Maybe, if it does happen then it will trigger a big war. Iran leader is going in as a diplomatic icon, if he is killed then it will be the fault of US. US has the ability to deny him entrance to the country, if they let him in, then anything that will happen will be against George Bush.
What if he wanted something to happen so a war can break out? Do not forget, just because there are people who despise him, there will be people who love him. So it is safe to say anything heppening to him will trigger a terrible scenerio.

He'll have secret service protection like any other visiting head of state or government. If anything bad were to happen to him while he's in the US it would just make us look bad and irresponsible. He's not the brains of the operation anyway so it wouldn't do any good.

The problem is, he is a symbol.
If something would happen to him here in US, by some lone 3named nut.........See Hagelian Dialectics.

I appreciate my frosh year behind me, and my Hegelian Dialectics lesson is but a memory - but I fail to see his life as a major event that would precipitate a real major event.

It would simply be in terribly poor taste for anything ill to become him whilst he is a visitor to our country. The security in NYC will be top-notch, and I'd wager he's safer here than he'd be even in Tehran. I'm sure his security detail is better than anyone else due to speak at the UN. I'm also certain that the Secret Service will have procedures that almost rival Bush's when he's abroad.

Not that I support him in any way (at all!), but nothing good would come of harming him while he is here.

Sheer propaganda, there's a LOT of people that don't want Ajama(whateverhis nameis) words to get out there. I questioned 2 parts of the linked source.

1- The Iraqi/Irani war was started by US supported Iraq. Yet this article brings up "casualty reports". That's worth noting imo. It doesn't mention involvement and who did what. Sure points a finger at Iran though

2- And I LOVE this one, "The parade also featured the Ghadr missile, which has a range of 1,120 miles, capable of reaching Israel."

Oh, that's going to send EVERY Israeli supporter into a fervor, whether it's true or not.

This is a propaganda piece to make sure the fewest people hear what, I can't pronounce his name(sorry, I can't), will hear it.

Yeah its just like that, down to the fact he used everything from false flags, to distorting facts, to down right lying and making all of Germany believe the Jews were less then human and and evil... and using such things as excuses to invade Countries and kill millions.

Sounds just like what Iran is doing right?

Sounds like USA to me. But some americans are waking up to what they are being subjected to. Not that they can stop it, but I feel its better to realize it now than realizing it when you need to ask the government if its OK to go to the toilet.

Nor would I, if he got a hole between his eyes I would not feel the slightest bit sorry either for he deserves it.

I feel exactly the same way about Bush. Oh! You weren't talking about Bush?

After the multiple "he should be dead because he makes me mad on the inside" comments I have to ask: Why do you want to provide political support to the terrorist ayatollahs in the form of a state sponsored assassination of the only real check to their power? Why do you want to aid the terrorists?

No.. WRONG !
Why dont some of you people actually find out about something before posting utter dribble.

Iran has invaded no one and not killed millions, in fact theyve killed relatively few compared to the slaughter inflicted by the USA around the world.

You mean besides the men, money and arms they are sending into Iraq to kill the allied forces right?
