Motorists in Colorado are expressing outrage over a weekend stunt in Gilpin County, about an hour's drive west of Denver, where highway checkpoints were set up so a private organization could ask for samples of blood and saliva.

"I don't think they're authorized to do what they're doing, and I view it as a gross violation of law-enforcement protocol," Roberto Sequeira, 51, told reporters for the Denver Post.

He said he and his wife were "detained" for about 15 minutes even after they protested.

It'd be a cold day in hell before I gave up blood or saliva at a police checkpoint much less to a private corporation.

I'm guessing that this is just a test of how public reaction would be to situations like this.

There are pubs in the UK that are requiring a palm swab before they are allowed in. If they test positive for drugs, they get a full body search by the fascist pigs and you get a lifetime ban from the establishment. I love this world we are creating.
