Both Bush presidents stated that the "American lifestyle is non-negotiable." Well is it? How does the average American feel about it. I would gladly use less of the world resources if it would promote peace and fairness. Even more important it would force America to be more inventive. The technology is there but it has been blocked by the greedy, be they oil people or car manufacturers or whatever.

How do you feel about it can we live on less or are we entitled.

But what is a 'Lifestyle'?

From my visits to the US I would say the lifestyle in New York is vastly different from that in Los Angeles

So how do you define a Lifestyle?

The average US citizens uses far more resources than most of the rest of the world. EX take the average us oil consumption and could it be cut 20- 25% across the board w/o any fatal results?
