You're pretty sure you did it, but you didn't get there? I don't understand... can you please elaborate on exactly what you have done each of the
three times you have tried, and what you experienced? And how long you tried each of the times?
And also, 3 tries is NOTHING. Most people have to try every day for weeks, months, or even years before they succeed. You won't be able to do
anything on your third try. You likely didn't learn to walk or ride a bike before you fell hundreds of times. Paranormal abilities aren't any
difference. You aren't going to start making cups float in the air and astral projecting at will after only a couple of casual tries. They are skills
that must be practiced and mastered like everything else in life.
As for what the astral plane is like, it is not a single place. There are many "sub-planes" and separations. The first place that you project to
will probably look very much like the physical world. You will most likely come out close to your body in the room you are projecting in. Things may
be switched around a bit, there may or may not be strange beings of various types there, etc. but for the most part it will look the same. Depending
on how aware you are, your subconcious may project dream images into the landscape around you, mixing real with unreal aspects. Beyond that, the
possibilities are infinite. There are also many planes higher (and lower) than the astral such as the mental and etheric planes, which you may or may
not need to "develop" a new, solar body to access, depending on who you talk to. For more details I would just look around the Internet for
people's experiences.
