So...why are you not there side by side with the rest of the troops? Better someone else fights them in their backyard instead of you fighting them in their backyard?

It is getting off topic...here. The revolution started when the spread of information globally got faster and faster. Most people do not realize that one of the single most greatest threat to these criminal organizations, is the spread of information. There are battles being fought every day against all of the disinformation by those same people that seek the truth. The internet is the last resort before violent means are adopted. At this point of the revolution, the internet is a key weapon. Until it is completely regulated, people should use this valuable weapon as much as possible, for as many battles as possible. Sor of like "information wars" if you will.

You see my problem is everyone else. They killed all the people who really knew how to live life and the ones that were left got re-educated. I Guess I just want that back that simple life you know what I mean. Things might even make more sense.

Before this country was a country it was just simply the land that fed us that gave us what we need. Instead the people who came took what they wanted. I know my history and this country isn’t all peaches and cream as you put it. I don’t know what world you live it but in this one its just like the movies.

Listen Ithinktomuch I don’t want to argue with you I just don’t ok I’m not here to argue.

Please tell me who you are talking about that were killed and by whom?

I understand that myself but simply cannot blame the government for all of Americas ills.

I don't think for a minute everything is all peaches and cream. I do however support my military and my commander in chief. Yes they may make mistakes but don't we all. The big difference between them and us is when we make a mistake it mostly only affects us and a few others. When the POTUS makes one it affects all of us. No one seems to try to understand his immense responsibilities.

Healthy debate is good for all but when people make it personal then I take offense. I dont want to argue with you either. Lets just say we have a different view on things and let it go at that.

I would be if I were younger but I am not. I do however have friends over there and I talk to them regularly. They picture they see is much different from what the media portrays it to be. Then again when do you trust the media? Thats for another thread I guess ...

America is a sick nation. What sort of policies do you expect from a nation that spends millions of dollars a year on processed foods, lead-tainted toys, and anti-anxiety medication? Of course we have wars and chaos. We have wars on inanimate objects, on a state of mind, it's insanity. Ever wondered why it's a "War on Terror" and not a "War on the Terrorists"?

Do we revolt?

Have a War on War?

Revolt. Then what will you do? How will you manage the country? The people?

So the Hatfields and McCoys get to keep shooting it out for eternity. You kill someone's father you have an instant jihadist or next marine. I believe we have the wherewithall to throw a net over this country to defend her from the baddies. But wait, Texas oil mines are just about dried up. Forget that my Hummers only down to an eight tank (just kidding). Freedom from oil will be the only answer to continual slaughter.

As I see it, America is a nation at war. Not just Iraq or anything in the Persian Gulf. Anything at all, America will declare war on it. The War on Terrorism, The War on Drugs, The War on Cancer, The War on . We don't deal with it. We declare war on it.

It is very ironic that we changed the name of The War Department to the Department of Defense. I think the previous name is more descriptive.

Mankind slaughtered each other way before a drop of oil was discovered. Yes, freedom from oil will end wars caused due to oil, but we'll find something else to fight over real quick.

maybe im nuts dude....but if we spent all the money spent on the war on iraq....on building up security at home.....we'd have less dead troops and still be just as safe....

that being said i support the troops to....blindley supporting an idiot president....not so much...just my opinion though but it doesnt make me ignorant or unpatriotic to not support a leader whom i strongly disagree with...and has def made Big mistakes...

iraq was not a home for terrorists...untill After we went there....no wmd's,etc,etc....iraq is just a sidenote any the problem is ameca trying to be world police to everbody....maybe if we didnt do that and our gov wasnt so greedy...eveerybody wouldnt hate us.....

anyway i dont wanna arguee and my statement still stands....you my friend need to open your eyes and understand that my freedom of speech...wont be here if this country continues down its current path....and thats a fact..pay attention bruh dont be blinded by the veil....our country isnt run by the people rite now...and that is why folks talk of revoloution...wake up.

but again just my 2-cents....what do i know rite

War for this, war for that but really why? Money? Oil? Religion? What is it?
Who decides to start these wars? Top brass? Presidents, leaders? Corporations? The elite???

The war is to force a change in reality upon humanity by bringing the entire planet to the brink of destruction, while not actually destroying it. However, it is statistically possible that destruction will actually occur before intervention can be completed.

Do you feel lucky?

A revolt once in a while can be a good thing as long as it is done right to remove the corruption and those who are responsible for it. If the main characters pulling all the strings get away, they will return to repeat their rotten plans.

The best revolts are the peaceful ones, like the peaceful non-violent millitary coup in Thailand, or the many relatively peaceful mass civilian protest during the Vietnam war.

Try to avoid violent revolts when possible.

The best way to make a change is to have intelligent, charismatic leaders who the population will listen to lead the change, and to protect these leaders so that they do not get assassinated or arrested by the other side.

A revolt should always be the last resort.

A revolt would be great but in the end why would the people want one? The government deserves one but we need the oil in the middle east to continue this comfortable way of life, you know, for cars, for plastics, for food...

If the masses somehow got convinced this way of life was inherently destructive, and got comfortable with the idea of living without a lot of privileges, a peaceful revolt would be lovely but I don't think we should rule out violence altogether. What if we started swarming the pentagon or something and they cued the non-lethal/lethal riot control etc... Would/Could we just take the abuse while chanting peace & love?? A powerful image but clearly self-defeating. We should bring our guns. Are you just going to wait until they come into your house and shoot you in the face before you shoot anybody, on some kind of moral high ground? Or are you going to get them first at their own violent game. The higher powers have no morals. Giving ourselves some just makes us look dumb.

I guess I'm saying that the world's not all flowers and tye-dye t-shirts.

I am 100% sick of this worthless excuse of a race called Humans, what the hell is wrong with us ? We move to an evorment, nice green and all good, then we reproduce at such a rate that we comsume all the natural resoures and then we move on and do they same, we actully destory our own envoroment. What is our OBSESSION with war, we HAVE to kill other people. Bush wants a war ? let have it, as long as he is on the first wave that goes to Iran and he is equiped the saemas every other soilder there, but hey its not all bad, im sure we'll all blow up and start over again. I wounder how many times weve started over ?

There are revolutions in the making though, and I'm not refering to the united states in this situation. Here in the province of Alberta, here in Canada, we are currently fighting for our rights. The government, big unions, and the corporations are denieing us our basic rights of speech. We have been denied the ability to strike for our wages and working conditions, we have been told we will be fined if we strike. The unions here in Alberta are dictated based on classifications. The government groups us together, and each individual union must vote on a strike. When 75% of the unions agree to strike, ONLY then can we go on strike. We had reached that point but the government, unions and coroporations denied us once again. They drew up another contract and basically demanded we sign. We have now become abit radical in our decisions, the people, NOT the unions have decided its time we stand up and fight. We are currently experiencing the masses standing up and fighting for their rights. Work has stopped in all union sectors of the industry, and talks are being made. I will be the first to say this is far from over, there has been talks of riots, and the unions threaten to begin handing out fines and arresting protestors. I predict once this occurs there will be violent riots, I personally have no idea how this will impact the rest of society, but this is one for the history books ladies and gentlemen.

People are afraid to think. They are afraid thinking is unpatriotic. The sky IS falling. Almost time to take up arms and fight for my country against it's main enemy- the neocons. they feed us:

The # Sandwich
I watched the cooks making the # sandwiches. They got the # from a foul beast and put it between bread then served it up. I told them that was a bad thing to do but they just ignored me. People I respected began eating the # sandwiches. I could have just laughed at them but I told them “Hey, that sandwich is made of #!” They loved and trusted the cooks and were angry that I would make such an accusation. They refused to believe me. I said “Just look in the bread. That is # that you are eating.” They would not even lift up the bread and told me I was crazy. They thought that by lifting up the bread others would see them and think that they did not like the cooks. Everyone liked the taste of the # sandwiches and they were worried that if the cooks were fired, that the next cook’s sandwiches would be really bad. The cooks told them that the sandwiches were very good for them.
I decided to let them eat the # sandwiches if they wanted too. I felt bad that they had been fooled by the cooks. I never really knew what motivated the cooks to put # in the sandwiches and I still don’t. The guys selling the # sandwiches made lots of money and about half the people I know thought the sandwiches were great.
Then they started to eat the # sandwiches with their mouths open. They gorged on the # right in front of me and splattered it all over me. They yelled out how good the sandwiches were with the # all around their mouths. The constant stink and cleaning of the spewing # made my quality of life bad. It was making me sick. I still had to let them know, somehow, that they were eating #.
A few people lifted the bread and saw the #. It was so sad to see the look in their eye’s when they realized the cooks had been feeding them #. They lost faith in the whole system and were revolted at what they had consumed. It was like they had been looking at child porn and didn’t even know that it was a bad thing.
For those of you who continue to eat the # sandwiches,
PLEASE EAT WITH YOUR MOUTHS CLOSED.

and think more.

Your entire post is priceless. I want to print it out and hang it on the wall.

We need to revolt. Now.

deltaboy could not be any more right. "Go, nothings stopping you" Brilliant. Too much talk around here. Should we have a revolution? We should have one. We'll have two. We'll impeach Bush. We'll save America. I dont see anyone who preaches the good word actually doing anything.

So to answer your question, no we shouldnt, because no one clearly cares enough to follow through.

Would you like to fight this was on terrorism in your backyards and our cities, OR would you prefer to have it fought over there in another country?

The War on Terrorism began in Afgahnistan and when we could no longer find anyone to fight there we moved it to Iraq. Now, it's a hotbed. Where was this "War on Terrorism" in 2000? A few Islamic Militants running a boat into the USS Cole? To me a the cost of a few U.S. soldiers who knew they were putting their lives on the line when they signed up does NOT outweigh the massive casulties sustained by the people of Iraq who never wanted a war in their backyard.

I don't think if we brought our troops home that we'd see a war in our backyard. Before anyone starts, I'm not buying the whole "Terrorist Orchestrated 9/11" plot. It was thought out and planned by government think tanks well before 2001. All we had to do is hand over a booklet with details to the terrorist and off they go. Maybe carried out by terrorist, but not orchestrated.

Just so you know, I don't think we should pull out of Iraq at the current time. It would be devastating to desert the people of Iraq right now. We have to salvage something of this idiotic War for the people's sake.

EDIT:
To answer the OP's question:

YES! Revolt against the government in an attempt to weed out the corporations and corruption!

Mandatory Congressional Service for people 18 years of age thru 65. That's or no more pensions for congress. They have to collect social security!

no unplanned revolt. thats exactly what they want. next stop police state with dog implant chips in 2009.
thanks.

direct democracy has to be developed more. the USA has no democracy, because its a republic, of course.
capitalism has to be thought-to-its-end, there is no other real possibility to ´switch´into another system. that is simply not happening.

This has been an interesting topic to read through. I've been trying to get the mindset or political side of the commentors. Its sketchy though. But mostly I'll generalize to be of the left or liberal or Democrat. I stop to make comment because I find it interesting. From my perspective as one might call the silent majority of the country. It is the majority that is wieghing the reality of a change away from this growing toilet bowl of indisisiveness and smut. These comments seem to contemplate revolt but your analagies are of those that the silent majority want to get rid of in society. It seems ironic. Well, keep working at it.
