New bin Laden video surfaces

A new video purportedly featuring an introduction from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden appeared on the Internet Tuesday, the sixth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington.

In the video's introduction, a voice identified as bin Laden's praises 9/11 hijacker Waleed al-Shehri, from Saudi Arabia. He sat in seat 2B on American Airlines Flight 11, which crashed into World Trade Center's north tower.

The 47-minute videotape was obtained by terrorism expert Laura Mansfield before it was to appear on several Islamist Web sites known for carrying statements from al Qaeda and other radical groups.

Are terrorists submitting videos to be approved before posting them or what?

That's kind of funny... What is up with that though? How weird....When I first posted the link, they had very little information and this was not included.

Anybody know who this Laura Mansfield lady is? How is she getting these tapes 'early' or is she just going around to terrorist sites?

I've just got up, and this was the first thing I saw on CNN. I haven't caught the video yet, but let's hope it gets released to the public soon.

this second video, is said to show the image of OBL for some 14 minutes,
and it appears that this second videos image of OBL uses the newest
image of OBL with a dyed (& apparently ?shorter?) beard that we were
introduced to in the 2-3 Sept First video.

it would seem that the AQ media arm is using a OBL 'template' image
and then doing the elaborate 'voice-over' audio speechs.


has anyone here seen that OBL & AQ is in the process of 're marketing' its public image and recruitment targets? to focus on 2 gen. europeans & the likes instead of middle eastern populations

I'm reading so far that there is only a still image of Bin Laden in the new video... if true, I find that bit of information to be quite interesting.

The information is very interesting.

The high quality of these videos leads one to believe that Bin Laden is no longer sitting in a cave, but a location that gives access to high quality facilities and editing equipment.

A still video is a PICTURE, isnt it???? I agree, WW, what's this all about??

On another thread someone said the beard now looked a bit shorter.

Must have trimmed it for the shot.

It only mean only one thing, that Bin-Laden has been a no show for quite sometime, perhaps he is not longer in this earth, but still his name and face is use to serve a purpose, be by terrorist or by our government trying to keep the minds and harts of the American people scare.

While our markerts are crashing Bin-Laden is in prime time news. I find it quite interesting also.

i HAVE TO say that this video scares the heck outta me. it's very threatening. I really hope nothing happens today, I like to be a positive person and this kinda stuff gets me down. I'm going to sleep all day today and I hope nothing goes down. osama is up to something, asking people to join the caravan can only spell trouble.
