I get so sick of reading about Osama this, terror that, Bush does so-and-so, and on and on and on...

I wish that something would happen that would just make people stop scurrying about so much, only concerned about what's happening on this little planet, and realize there's more to life!

If only...It just seems like the whole Israeli/Palestinian, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, etc B.S. would suddenly matter "less" if we were confronted with something wildly beyond our barbaric imaginations.

Not a threat from a race beyond our world, although most neo-cons pray for some new threat...

Just the thought that there's more than this out there.

You know, I have to totally agree. In my mind, I see the event of aliens landing as a trigger to UNITE humanity, like in Star Trek. Do you think that's a naive assumption?

Hell, you think it's bad today, imagine how we felt back in the 70s and 80s - with terrorists blowing up anyone anywhere anyday and the constant threat of the total end of the world being just minutes away ....

The aliens didn't land then, they sure ain't going to land now.

I'm sure that many people have thought about leaving this gulag. We could all do without the war, oppression, intimidation, manipulation, and anything else that is forced upon us by those in power. What if, like anything else, the grass is not greener on the other side? What if our experiences here don't compare to the sinister happenings elsewhere? Is one ready for the knowledge of the universe, and are our brains anatomically and consciously capable of handling such enlightenment? Although I would love to see what is out there, I think we're still in the petrie dish until someone decides to do something with us.

Its funny you say that, well, not really funny, I suppose. I brought up that idea ( specifically,"how would people's attitudes change if undeniable evidence of ET's were staring them straight in the face?" Like tomorrow's front page has a grey shaking hands with GW!) with a group of friends the other day. We were talking about paradigm shifts, specifically that a paradigm shift is truly necessarry if we as a society want to evolve towards a utopian existence. That part of the conversation followed a short talk on revolution, when my friend said we should focus on evolution instead. I cant wait either!

I'm not sure how today is any different from back in the 1970's/80's. The same number of nuclear weapons exist today that did back then. But now, more countries have them. Pakistan has them. That's a radically Islamic nation with nuclear weapons.

There's a definitely a building tension, like in the 70's and 80's. As if the worst seems inevitable.

But the thought that something comes along and totally rearranges some of the "GOD" issues that really create most, if not all, of the conflicts on earth.

Most of the religious elements (note: i said religious, not spiritual) cannot reconcile the exisitence of life anywhere but this earth.

So, if something happened that seriously challenged this dogma, it COULD lead to unity. It COULD cause many people to just stop and question what they're blindly doing.

Just a thought...

i know that if i was an alien i would hold off landing until our planet got our stuff together

we need to figure out how to get a long on our planet before we start thinking about how we're going to get along with a species from a different planet

Well, I would assume that aliens like to occasionally visit and stir the public a bit. As the sightings increase, the people begin to take notice. It takes fear for people to act accordingly.

Think about it. If two guys are fist fighting and the police sirens go off, they run. When they both are stuck in a corner together, they'll put off their differences and figure a way to get out of the situation. The problem is, I don't know if one guy will help the other after getting himself out.

I'm mostly a watcher in this place.

I'm a Bible-believer, and as such I fully expect an alien mass revelation sometime in the near-future. I fully expect them to be received as benevolent creatures, yea as saviours.
Then also in line with Bible prophecy, I know that the antichrist will show up on their heels, to be received as emperor-god over the unified (you'll get that unity you so crave, gentlemen) one-world government. You'll even have peace for a couple of years. Then all hell will break loose.

Dan Burisch said in his latest Project Camelot video interview that we have to stop expecting aliens to come down and save us, they aren't going to save us - we need to save ourselves. He said that via the Looking Glass technology, the powers that be know that there are calamities about to hit the world - but there are several different directions / possibilities it could take. That's one of the more 'far out' takes on the thing.

But we could also look at the Disclosure Project and the evidence that ET have saved us from ourselves in the past - on several different occasions, because the effect of a nuclear blast is the one thing that can rip a hole in the fabric of space-time itself - and actually places visiting races in danger. Hence why they come - more of an act of self-preservation than an act of kindness.

It's pretty far-fetched to believe any of that as a regular Joe Blow. The best thing we can possibly do is just sit tight and if it happens it happens. If they drop the bomb then there's nothing we can do anyway. Catch it live on CNN til the fallout eventually gets us. If the aliens come, well that's cool. But I see no point in actually willing for it to happen.

yes the ets didnt land during the 70s and 80s in a mass fashion but they definately made their presence known, some soviet generals stated that everytime they did manuvers with their nuclear weapons the et crafts would show up over their heads, and the events that took place over u.s. missile sites where the ets shut off the missiles, so it takes some searching and studying and then you realize they are all over the place
