Paramount has confirmed that in the movie, the name G.I. Joe will become an acronym for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity" — an international, coed task force charged with defeating bad guys. It will no longer stand for government issued, as in issued by the American government.

Wow Fox should get with the times. This is old news and has since returned to be "The Real American Hero."

I'm not sure theyre going with the Real American hero theme. The only news I could find and I posted on the other thread was that its HQ is being moved to the US and GI Joe is no longer a NATO unit.

It looks like their HQ might be placed in NYC and they might become a UN task force instead.
