Is it possible that all this time, Osama bin Laden is hiding in Iran. I mean think about it. Iran is the only Middle Eastern country where our troops are absent and has an agenda to support terrorism. It borders Afghanistan, where OBL was supposedly seen last.

According to former Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, the Iran-Afghan border has a potential to be used as a road for terrorists to sneak across.

"There isn't any doubt in my mind but that the porous border between Iran and Afghanistan has been used for Al Qaeda and Taliban to move into Iran," Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told "ABC This Week" on Sunday.

Edit: Changed "Arab" to "Middle Eastern"

The man was on kidney dialisis (sp) back in 98. it is now 2007. Jumping from cave to cave with kidneys that need to be machine cleaned... If he is "alive" in Iran we will be setting records for liveing with kidney failure.

This is to say nothing about the arab press reporting his death a few years back. Due to kidney failure.

Do you have any proof that he has kidney dialisis?

Kidney failure. dialisis(again SP) is to clean the body of waste because your kidneys can no longer do the job. In 98 OBL got treated somewhere over seas that....fox did a story on it and Clinton not grabing him back then..but that story plays many differnt ways..Sometimes the stroy goes Clinton gave the order to get him and the CIA said no other stories contend that no order was ever given....I don't know google it.

Its possible that he's in Iran, if he's alive, which I doubt.

His son is reported to be there. Recently there was an article that said there were two AQ councils. One in Pakistan, the other in Southwes Iran on the Afghan border.

IIRC the Kidney Dialysis story was debunked multiple times.

Yes let's "think about it" as you say...

First of all Iran is not an Arab country, that statement right there mines the credibility of your thought process.

Secondly, why would you give any credence to anything Rumsfeld or any other member of this pathetic, failed administration has to say?

Thirdly, what difference would it make if OBL was in Iran? Or are you just looking for an excuse for a re-run of shock and awe on your idiot box?

Lastly, six years after the fact, I have yet to see any credible evidence or proof (fake video confessions don't count) that this former CIA operative had anything to do with the attacks of September 11, 2001, other than the word of the current, corrupt, pathetic, and failed US administration.

Maybe YOU should do some more thinking.

The Iranian (Persians) would not relish the idea of being called "Arab". They loath Arabs. Osama being Arab also does not lend support to this hypothesis. That and the fact that Iran is Shiite majority nation, whilst Osama is a Sunni.

i seiously doubt that Iran would give OBL a safe haven there,

the Supreme Leader, all the Mullas, the whole of the Islamic Revolution
consider him and the cadre of followers as opponents to their own fundamentalism... a threat that needs to be conquered or surrendered to the Iranian style of Islamic Revolution ideology.

A Persian caliphate could not tolerate his (OBLs) type of militant zealotry

You failed to express your opinion about where OBL is and instead you criticize the administration and my "thought process". Iran is a country with a majority of Persian ethnicity and Shia Muslim. There are Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq living in the same country, even though they like to kill each other.

However, Iran supports terrorism. OBL is the head of a major terrorist group. You would think Iran supports Al Qaeda even though they are Shiites.

If I had the coalition after my head, that's where I'd leg it to.

It doesn't make a bit of difference and I really don't care. Neither does your president:

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." — George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

Take a look into the fact that his son Sa'ad. was in Iran and 'released' and has connections to the conflict in Iraq right now. This information was released with the last year .

Iran is not an Arab country, but is a sponsor ot terrorism. Was his son travelling to see him and caught?

Ah... so the quote is supposed to be:

Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him.

Oooooooooo.... you've scored a major victory against the "liberalists".

By the way, your signature is offensive to some people.

This is why, I usually don't participate in these kinds of threads. Nothing but people married to their beliefs arguing semantics to gratify a need to get their pound of flesh. Who would Jesus bomb?

I'm done here.

I don't think OBL is alive, and I don't think he's in Iran.

Aren't the Pakistani ISI real friendly with the CIA? Hmm...

Im convinced he is either dead (evaporated by a MOAB in Tora Bora in late 2001/early 2002 or died of kidney failure) or somewhere in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier - an area that NO army has EVER been able to conquer.

I guess we will find out if he is still alive on 9/11/07. I doubt he is alive, but I also think we haven't looked hard enough.

My father said that for a long time. He said, "You know, we are looking for this guy in Afghanistan and Pakistan and I can almost guarantee you, the guy is sitting in Iran." That was over four years ago, and the longer time goes by, the more I think he was right.

There has been lots of speculation/reports for years about OBL being in Iran.

Lots of reasons given for the Iranian gov to help a percieved enemy too.

I don't think he's there. He could be though, theoretically. Is there harm in discussing it?
