North American Union driver's license created

www.nworeport.com

The first "North American Union" driver's license, complete with a hologram of the North American continent on the reverse, has been created in the state of North Carolina.

"The North Carolina driver's license is 'North American Union' ready," charges William Gheen, who serves as president of Americans for Legal Immigration.

Well this is somewhat scary. I wonder if the whole country will start making these?

In a previous post, I mentioned that I was asking friends, family, some new acquaintances, if they had heard of the North American Union just to see if they had, much less knew anything about it. The resounding answer was "NO" accompanied by strange looks. Seeming this union was created in 2005, and still people are in the dark about it, is a testament to lack of news coverage. Most people must feel that the status quo will always be the same, so long as they have their microwaves, Bud Light, and cable TV.

Ignorance is bliss.

As a 13th Generation American, Virginia Native, I can say that it's time for a boston tea party like event... We have taxation and no representation, and it's time for civil disobedience... Until the populace begins to rise up and actually physically threaten or harm those pulling these stunts, the tide will continue in the direction it is going... In my opinion we are approaching the new civil war, it won't be long, get ready....

this is happening pretty fast,i do remember a news report where the reporter stated that bush and the other 2 wanted the NAU to be in effect by the year 2010,seems like it's going to happen huh?

and i've done the same, asked poeple if they have ever heard of NAU..and the same..."NO what's that?"

wow! I really hope that they just wasted money doing this.
What on earth were they thinking?!? I guess there will be no vote from the people anytime soon. Perhaps this is another example of the parent/child relationship we have with our government. I oppose this NAU concept.

Just a little note, but drivers licenses have been interchangeable between Canada and America for many years.

Canada also has an agreement with Japan that any valid driver in their country can arrive in Canada and exchange their license without taking a test.

As a resident of North Carolina i can confirm this is isn't B.S.Its located on the back of the D.L. under the bar code in the bottom right hand corner.I'm currently on the phone with DMV to rattle some chains to see what or if they will tell me anything about it.

Is this much different than the International Driver's License the UN established 60 years ago? Quite handy really, I kept mine on me when traveling in countries where your hotel has to keep your passport at the front desk until you check out to at least have some kind of valid identification on me.
