It appears that this is too far fetched to be true. For all we know, the sheeple here on Earth ,the moon is just a piece of cheese? This has to be a scam. I might have to wait for Lear on this one. This looks like a credible site, and if it is, it must be a group who wants a piece of the action.

Impossible, I bought the whole moon years ago.

This new website is just taking advantage of idiots.

Peace

that is truly ridiculous its the exact same scam as the scam many people buy into of buying their own stars and naming them, the scary thing is, is that there are probably some morons lining up to buy some land lol

Scam or not, it poses a serious question:

who owns the moon? who can sell property on the moon?

I don't know the answers to Skyfloating's questions, but moon real estate has been "sold" before to the guillible. Basically, you are just buying a funny certificate to hang on your wall or whatever. Even if you did somehow own a piece of the moon, have fun enforcing your claim when you are stuck here on earth.

I don't think anyone will survive long enough to enjoy their newly purchached land on the lunar surface. I think it is just a scam for people who can never be satisfied no matter how much they have. I wouldn't doubt if before too long countries would fight over rights to the moon, all the while not even going up to inhabit it.

We should try to find out who's running this site. Titles should be given out and a system should be implemented to track and see if your property is rising or depreciating in value. That's a whole lot of land, and it's not too far away!

From what I understand, Earth's moon is the property of "all nations" of Earth. It cannot be bought or sold. Other things, I'm sure, depending on if anyone has a problem with it.

... Like building military installations.

first of all this company would have to present documents showing that they own parts of the moon and are entitled to sell parts of it. if they had those documents they would show them on the website. but they dont. which is why they cant be taken seriously.

That's precisely what it is. It's just a bit of fun. I bought some as a silly gift for friends about 5 or 6 years ago.

I'm guessing there might be some idiots who think they actually own a chunk of the moon once they slapped down their ten quid or whatever it was for a nice piece of paper and a photograph, but if they did believe that, then don't they deserve to get fleeced.

If you do decide to purchase a few acres, buy on the Mares ... if Neal Adams is correct, your land should be growing!

Great video! I never knew our moon was growing!.

I was trying to find out if there were any other moons that are in a gravity lock. Is gravity lock natural?

why would we buy land on the moon if they wana cull us?

theres way too many contradictions here for me.

Sure, they can do it. They do similar things with company common stock holders, the common joe who gets robbed constantly on Wall St. I live nearby, I talk to many investors. It's the Mafia man, it's the mafia.

Amazing video. I learn new stuff here everyday! Just wondering if they talked about when or what would explode at the earth if they erupt.

I have to upgrade my telescope. I got my eye on that moon and now want to see closer. I saw a scope by Meade selling for 50, 000$ USD. Wonder why it's selling for so high. I know that in 2015 we will be there, so perhaps these certs. can be used to allow congress to consider authenticating them or creating similar plans for selling acres. But they won't be 20 bucks or anything like that, over 6 figures for a patch for sure.

The Society does not claim to own, control or govern the Moon; instead, it is part of a global effort to provide a legal framework for establishing private property ownership and development rights on Luna. By supporting the right to purchase land claims, the Lunar Republic Society follows long-established legal precedent which sets forth that actual occupation is the only lawful basis for ownership of property on Earth or elsewhere. Only when we are successful with our plan to return humans to the Moon and are able to establish permanent settlements in compliance with international law will land claims become legally enforceable.

...from their website. So, your mainly helping to finance the exploration, settlement, and development of the Moon.

if you really think about it how boring would it be to live on the moon if future generations could. you couldnt skydive or do any other sport that involves gravity you couldnt even walk around without some kind of suit on so that you can breath. there is no oceans = no beach. no mountains no trees no animals nothing it would just suck. i wouldnt mind going for a night and thats it. but living there no thanks

Im sure only a couple of years ago on the news there was a man who laid claim to the moon and actually took his case to court. He claimed that as nobody had ever claimed he would claim it for himself. I remember this being in the newspaper and on TV. It was all tongue in cheek though.

Id love to own a piece of the moon. Wait until Nasa land on my pice of moon then sue their backsides for trespassing on my land
