The people still pushing Aurora are the same people that claim contrails can't persist in many cases. You think they're going to accept any kind of debunking? Obviously any claim that normal contrails can make that shape is just an attempt to cover up the existence of Aurora.

amazing the mental gymnastics die-hard believers (of anything) will go through to keep the prospect of their pet idea alive if only in their mind.

There was a lot of people claiming the quakes were related back in the late 80s/early 90s.

yeah I had a crazy high school teacher that believed that. she also broke down in class one day and while crying told us all that HAARP was this new weapon the govt created that could kill us all.

not as bad as my Spanish teacher who taught class that Mexico colonized Hawaii before the polynesians, invented the pizza and that BMW stood for British motor works.

I tell ya it's a mad, mad world we live in. the crazies are everywhere....literally.

why do you think Lockheeds clamming up about hypersonics suddenly?

anybody who follows the subject including our adversaries aren't going to believe that. why deny it outright. the only thing I can speculate is a doctrine or game changing development has happened and they want to keep all of it in the bag so our adversaries don't even have a clue as to what's in store. maybe something that goes beyond just hypersonics but applies to a lot of avenues and niches?

who knows. I guess well just have to take Lockheeds lead on this. nothing to see here folks. move along now.

Or not in fact , may be its in the Boeing or Northrop hand in fact , the another hypersonic way may be in the Boeing XS-1 . Don't you think it could be true in the reality there is nothing to see here because they have nothing or just some sort of missile demonstrator and not reusable drone.

Two different platforms I would think..Reusable Vehicle sounds like an atmosphere skipper.

All previous hypersonic vehicles were designed to crash at the end of their flight. They were not recovered and were destroyed. They are how designing one that is designed to be used more than once.

That makes it a, say it together now, Reusable Vehicle.

Or may be in fact no reusable plane like SR-72 is possible in real life , hypersonic only for weapon or space shuttle like vehicle. In the new 2019 budget there is no line for reusable hypersonic demonstrator, may be it is realy too difficult to build it.
