Some things just reach across all barriers.

So many of the old songs from that era, and earlier, would have the same credits, words by so and so, music by "unknown". Music like that touches us beyond any words to describe.

An excellent find. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

I knew that the man who wrote it had been a Capt of a slave ship but I didn't know where the melody came from.

Just goes to show that people are people and none of us are better then another.
