Does'nt this give a little more validity to the claim that we (or our ancestors to be precise) may have been created in a lab somewhere!
Being able to do it ourselves, we have to wonder whether an advanced civilization, somewhere closeby in our region of the galaxy, came upon a
promising young solar system. And seeded it with life!
Perhaps to even come back at different periods of time to give it a nudge ...
And perhaps we will continue this circle of life someday!!!
"Creating protocells has the potential to shed new light on our place in the universe," Bedau said. "This will remove one of the few
fundamental mysteries about creation in the universe and our role."
And several scientists believe man-made life forms will one day offer the potential for solving a variety of problems, from fighting diseases to
locking up greenhouse gases to eating toxic waste.
