Just to verify everyone agrees that black triangles exist right?

Lol... if I saw something like that coming in my direction , I think I would have been frightened by that. Your 3 year old probably was strongly sensing you and your wife's underlying concern about what you were seeing at that time.

I'm not sure if I would have removed myself from that location to a more safe and secure place -- probably not because, just like you, I would have been very interested in seeing what it looks like close up.

Anyway it sounds like the wait was worth it because now you, like a lot people, have their Big Fish story (without outrageous embellishments of course... lol) about actually seeing one of these things. Thanks for sharing!

The only place that comes to mind are UFO reporting websites but I would imagine the avg. person out there does not even know that such reporting websites are on the net.

I've not reported it but i'm not shy about telling people what I saw. I've told pretty much everyone i've spoken to since seeing it. Most of my family / friends / workmates think i'm a nut job anyway, to the point of asking my girlfriend to look out for me.

Only a couple of people believed me, the rest just gave me the look.

As for the light we saw, a friend (who didn't witness it) said it was probably a plane. What we saw on the first night wasn't a plane, i've looked up at the night sky enough to know what a plane looks like, even from a distance.

As for the BT, that was definately a craft of some sort but totally silent for how low it was. I live on a housing estate in the UK and it was about 12:45 am, flying slowly and very low.

So yes, they exist.

Lol, I guess I'm lucky because at least to my face, my family members and friends thought I saw what I said I actually saw that day. But, lol, who knows WHAT they were saying behind my back...

And yes, isn't it amazing how low in the sky they are when they are seen? This is what most people report too. So this would indicate to me that they want to be seen or why else would they do that??? Very strange.

Maybe the ultimate proof of stealth technology working - fly over population and see how many report seeing you?

Then back to the drawing board if you see any reports.

I'm also wondering if these crafts can somehow mimic the color of whatever sky's they are flying in. At night they are black but the one's we saw were metallic grey -- perhaps to match daylight sky's? I would say we have more light grey days with light overcasts here in our area more than anything else. But because we had clear blue sky's on the day when we saw them, they showed up very clearly.

As you can tell by my name here, I was an eyewitness in 1986 to a massive triangle. My exwife and I were motorcycling along a deserted country road near our home in the mountains of western North Carolina at about 11 pm one night , when a massive triangle came right overhead. No more than 300 feet up, totally silent, and drifted overhead at about 5-10 mph, slowly. I could not make out any markings and such, too dark, but the three red lights, one at each tip of the craft, showed the size and it was huge.

I had a moment of fear; we had pulled over and were watching it overhead and I had a bit of worry as I knew that if it set straight down we would be squashed like a bug. It felt like it weighed a million tons, it had an ominous feeling to it..like seeing a battleship floating over you..so weird and yet so amazing.I recall thinking that I could shoot it with a pistol, or even hit it with a strong bow!! Thats how low it was.

It moved over us and climbed a bit in altitude and then to our amazement, the craft stopped, turned up on its axis so instead of the red lights being ' flat ' they were facing us one on top, two on the bottom, and then it CARTWHEELED OFF into the eastern sky!! I was convinced, and so was my ex, that the craft had performed this for our benefit, a joke of sorts. There was no other cars on that road during the encounter, it was a very rural and quiet area, and we are convinced that for some unknown reason, the pilots of the craft saw us down on the road and they ' buzzed us ' and gave us a real show.

I have no idea if aliens or military were involved, but if we have craft that can fly silently and hover and move massive ships like we saw, then we are wasting a lot of jet fuel !! I always read the reports of triangles to see if anyone has had one appear that low or doing the manuvers that we saw. It was obvious that the cartwheeling off into the sky after reorienting the axis of the flight level was accomplished with technology that eliminates motion sickness for the pilots, otherwise it would be impossible for a human to remain oriented while spinning like that, like the wheels on a bike. In any event, I am an actual eyewitnes to a close up and massive craft, and I hope to see another someday, but not directly overhead again! Too scary!!

I've read many sighting stories where the witness could swear they somehow 'knew' they were being watched by these things and in your case it sounds like they even did some fancy maneuvers just to let you know that. Wow!

IMHO, I'm convinced that these crafts are the workings of covert government. I have friends and family who would know about this at least vaguely and in some cases less vaguely where I will never know how much they actually DO know... but they have indicated to me that some of these objects, in this case triangle UFOs, are possibly advanced military aircraft. In other words, giving their personal opinions on this topic, this is what they say they BELIEVE they are. If they know for sure, I will never know.

But in any case, the fact that there's an avg. of 75+ BIllion dollars a year being spent on unaccounted for top secret projects to me just SCREAMS OUT to us that these BT's are one em.

I can relate to the shiver that goes up your spine when you realise the enormity of what's floating directly over you too.

I've seen some strange things out over the Great Lakes, but not a black triangle. I've also had up an close and personal visit with a F117 Nighthawk when it broke at our airbase. There is no way that it could be mistaken for what you are discribing here. From what I understand about the physics of light and gravity, it sounds like a craft with a gravity generating device at each corner. The electromagnetic effect would cause a coronal discharge that would appear as a light source. This would also cause a rippling in the visible light, similar to the effect seen over hot ground on a summer day. A digital video recorder would not be able to get a clear picture of the craft because of this light distortion as it would constantly be trying to refocus to eliminate it. The only chance of a good shot would be 35mm asa400 or faster film.

I mentioned before in a few other posts here on my sighting over Lake Erie of those triangles that we could see on the one closer to us a very thin shimmering-like effect over the surface of the craft. And it had nothing to so with sun reflecting off of it but just as you say, it seemed to be a more an inherent part of the structure itself and it's operating components. This is not to say this this object was not solid as the computer monitor that's in front of you because it was, very much so -- thanks for telling us what that shimmering is because I was wondering about that!

That cartwheeling incident is just bizarre. Fascinating and bizarre.

Yes, that was my report on HBCC. After reporting it online, I got a call from Brian Vike and Jeff Rense asking me to appear on the radio show and describe what happened. I did so and had a nice talk with the guys, who were very interested in the event.

The cartwheeling really blew our minds; up to that point it seemed rather' weird ' but not stunning. When the cartwheeling happened, that really shook us up because it seemed just like the craft was waving goodbye in a sense, and we KNEW that they had done that for our benefit, or to get a laugh at what they thought our reaction would be to seeing such a thing.

There are many anomalous lights around here, seen by many. This may be due to the fact that this area gets a lot of military flights and such being over National Forest area for the most part and very sparsely populated. But for sure we get lots of strange things in the sky.

In any event, it was a real eye opener and I will never forget that feling of wonder, mixed with dread, and then amazement, all in a minute or two. I can tell you that the craft are so huge that it boggles the mind; so much bigger than anything that could get off the ground under any commonly known power system.

I hope that many more people get a chance to se on of these ' mothers ' and if anyone sees them doing spins or such please let me know; I cannot imagine that we would be the only ones to see such maneuvers when these things have been seen worldwide. Best to all!!

I was thinking of this yesterday. I, myself, live directly underneath one of New Zealand's busiest flight paths into Auckland. And if the planes aren't (or are, doesn't matter) coming in, then the police chopper is flying overhead (despite what people might think from the Tolkien movies, South Auckland is not too dis-similar to the gang-ridden areas of greater Los Angeles (where I'm originally from)), so I don't expect to see anything more interesting in the skies than satellites, but--

I think it'd be interesting, Eyewitness, to determine where the commercial flight paths in the USA are (so they can be avoided), where the national parks are, find a place with some elevation, and make a damned weekend of triangle hunting.

Or maybe just go to that place where you were and pitch a tent.

eyewitness, thanks for the follow-up....when the triangle began to cartwheel, was the spinning speed fast or slow...and did the entire triangle cartwheel away from you at a fast speed, or was it in a more leisurely manner?

hello everyone, I have recently been trolling these forums on my search for truth and whatnot. Anyway this thread in particular urged me to make my first post and join the community. Anyway I recently made the close to a 2000 mile journey from Oregon to Texas, and I just so happen to see this black triangle right off the I-5 heading into California around the Ashland/Grants Pass area. I was not tired as it was the beginning of my trip and I saw it very clearly and studied it for a good 15-20 seconds before it flew out of sight. It was a large black triangle with two solid lights colored red and blue (like most airplanes nowadays however these were solid and not flashing). The blue light was on the nose of the triangle and the red light was on the right corner as it flew over me. It was made if a solid reflective black material. There were no rivets it appeared to be of a singular solid material. The third point had no light. In the middle of the triangle was a large white halogen type circle of light shaped like an O, this was also one solid light. It flew straight over me and continued flying south. There was also one other strange item I saw in the sky as I crossed into Texas. Basically it appeared like a mass ball of white lights and it moved very quickly. I thought it was lightning at first however when I tried to lock my vision on it...it was almost as if it wouldn't let me because the image started trailing itself. I saw the item where it originally was almost like a blurry picture but at the same time it was moving and creating a short trail of it self. It kinda made me feel like it didn't want me watching it, which weirded me out. Anyway hope this helps anybody and if I missed anything let me know and I'll try to answer

It's great that the triangle was close enough for you to see more detail than most who have seen these crafts but they're out there and I'm just amazed how many of us here in this forum have seen them!

thank you, I thought about trying to snap a picture with my camera phone, it was around dusk so I had a nice clear view with enough light with the naked eye, but I decided instead of fumbling around with a camera phone only to take a blurry barely noticeable picture to lock my eyes on it and study it for every detail I could see. I also recalled a slight little antennae stick out somewhere on the top I just remember seeing a little sillouette of a line sticking up just before I could only see the underside of the craft. It just amazes me at the amount of people describing the exact same thing! I had been starting to almost doubt myself the last couple of days after so many weird looks from friends before I read this thread so thanks ATS!

So the skeptics would have us believe that people who come forward with these stories are liars (ALL of them?? C'mon) or mis-identify terrestrial craft..now I dont see any way this sighting could have been any earth craft we have heard of..and if it is its got technology hundreds of years advanced to anything on display.

How bizarre. I saw one exactly the same in a dream in October 1996. In the dream it hovered over the local swimming complex near where I lived at the time and I was watching it from behind the curtain in my bedroom. I woke my partner up to come and see it and as soon as he saw it I panicked and told him to get back from the window before it saw us. I had another black triangle dream a few nights before that but the craft had a narrow white line/light from the front point to the centre back, splitting it in two. Even more bizarre, I had an ad. in the local paper at the time requesting info. on local UFOs and I got a few letters from recent black triangle witnesses and then met a group of folk who were abducted from their car the same night as my dream.
