the white light!!!

Ok, this is my first "thread" i am new to this so please bear with me.

i am in iraq right now deployed with the army, i dont know if that i will send you guys away or what but at least you might want to know what i have seen.

so i read on thread that was about a white light or flash like a spear coming down to earth with out a noise it was later clairified it was a star or something but hey i was out on mission telling and talking on the net with my comrads about some of the stuff i have read on here and right when some one made a joke and i was going to reply to it i saw a light flash from the middle of the dark sky lol and it pretty long and stright maybe about 8 ft from what i could tell and it was a couple miles away so it was probaly longer then that if you were closer but i wasnt and right when it flashed and came down it disappered and i was silent over the next and some one asked me what it was i asked if anyone had seen it because we were all in the same area pretty much and no one said anything then my buddy asked over the net what it was i saw and i told every one because we were all talking about stuff on this sight i told them that they wouldnt beleive me even if i told them lol i wouldnt blame them eather lol

i know i saw alot of # in iraq fall from the sky and i saw alot of things fly into the sky but it what i say tonight was totally irrelvevent of anything i have every seen in the sky fly or fall or blowup for that matter lol just telling you what i saw maybe someone has seen it before to i dont know just letting you guys know if there are anyquestions just ask and i will answer later guys

Was this in the past night, because it was probably a meteor, Ive been out since 3am here in london, I went to this field, pitch black, sat down and looked at the clear night sky, to watch these meteors, it was AMAZING, saw one like every minute. Beautiful.
If it looked kind of white, and went past the sky in 1 second. Then thats what you saw.

first off, i'm shocked that the American government would allow you to view a webiste such as ATS when they have recently outlawed both youtube and myspace. i appreciate both your courage and your individuality.

what i must say is that iraq is the testing ground for all sorts of new kinds of weapons. perhaps, what you witnessed was an example of the wrath that the american governement possesses.

when it comes to white light, all we need to know is insects are attracted to it like so. it's that simple. white light is attractive. why is it attractive? because often too much people prefer anything other than the void.

i believe now that it was a metor because of the shower and what not but it was cool to see and i really dont believe that iraq is a testing ground for new weapons i dont believe that at all but there are alot of strange things that happen at night in iraq it is pretty funny and intresting on the other hand i dont see the problem of lookin at this sight or myspace and youtube and well it is not banned here or in the rear for thatfact i been on those sights since i joined the army and i havent had a problem getting on them at all well later

This thread is interesting because it has three, not one very improbable happenings :

1- ufo
2- net connection in iraq
3- a mil person posting in ats

Rocksolidbrain: I can tell you for a fact, without question, that there are servicemen currently in Iraq who are able to post on ATS.

I have no way of knowing if everything is as the OP represents, but I can tell you that the basic circumstances of the post are plausible.
