Is there a "Space Force" in existence? If so, how could I work for them?
Like Star Trek and the Federation, I guess NASA will do for now but it's hardly the organization I'm thinking of. You got agencies covering-up UFO's perhaps they work for Space Force. You got certain people who are operating exotic technology perhaps they wear a t-shirt with a Space Force insignia. I guess once humans get advanced enough, and I mean once the public achieves a higher level of progress and the secrecy is gone, there will be means for mankind to establish a thing like the imaginary Space Force. Once jobs to the public are open out there who knows whats in it for the future of mankind.. I bet it's anyones guess?

We could only be so lucky to live in a true communist civilization like the one conceived by Gene Roddenberry. But it's not in human nature to have such a civilization. That's why so-called "communist" countries are not really based on communism, but rather dictatorships.

I don't think this is what you had envisioned, but here's some links..

wiki: Air Force Space Command

Official website: Air Force Space Command

Air Force Space Command’s mission is to defend the United States through the control and exploitation of space. AFSPC’s vision is to provide a full-spectrum space combat command preeminent in the application of space power for national security and joint warfare.

You can enlist here.

The Federation is'nt really Communist, if anything it's a post-scarcity society,
since they actually still do have an economic system (credits & latinum), but people
don't have to pay for most things.

And to expand on your last part, the problem with countries called Communist
is that they never really followed true Communism, but rather taken some attributes
and warped them into a bastard child of ideologies.

I was a member of Space Command for a long time. The base I was at had nothing really to do with space or anything like that. We had missiles at my base. The Air Force's motto is AIR POWER, SPACE POWER!
