I think the only probable earthly explanation is a buried vehicle that somehow still has a functional battery capable of emitting a low-level electromagnetic field.

Man oh man, If I were the owner of the land, I'd have my backhoe out there pronto.

When you get close to the proper strata, then out comes the shovel.

I'd get to the bottom of this in a hurry.

It's a UFO made out of lead. Unfortunately when it entered earth's atmosphere they quickly figured out that lead is not the best thing to use when attempting atmospheric flight. And they probably left their parking lights on, resulting in the electromagnetic pulsing, maybe even a turn signal, everyone knows when a UFO is secretly watching humanity they leave a few lights on so no one notices them, lol.

Most any piece of iron has a magnetic field, no battery required.

It's actually really tough to eliminate it.

With a strength of 7.5 uT, I'm sort of wondering how they separated that out from the background field of the Earth, which is generally between 30 and 60uT.

I'm voting for an iron stove.

So you're voting for non-story, right, TB?

It may be something of interesting historical significance.

But I'll bet you a cold brewski it's not extraterrestrial in origin, other than, of course, a nice nickel-iron meteorite, which it could very well be. Nor will it end up something like a portal to the underworld, a reptilian stasis box or the like.

it might just turn out to be the remaining floor of a horse stable
& the 'iron' is just the filings & such from the combination
black-smith & sword/spear foundry....
which some past & obscure local king had organized in his dominion.

reasonable things are usually the fact,
after all the wild speculation gets exhausted

Yeah, it does sound a lot like the platfrom from 2001: A Space Oddessy. whatever is buried there, it will be a great discovery. I wonder why it is emitting an ectromagnetic pulse. Maybe this could be the big UFO discovery we've all been waiting for. MAYBE
Let's not get our hopes up just yet. It could turn out to be something not so extraordinary.

Nice thermal imaging system. It could still be a pulsing, radioactive piece of iron meteorite deposit. Although I am sure some Italian officials have looked at it and said, "My god...it's filled with stars!"

Wow I hope they keep us up to date on what it is. How long will they take.
I hope it doesnt drift off, and people forget about it.

The sad part is that if it were some realy exciting find from outer space or such, it would be covered up and hidden and we will get the same ' neat meteorite ' story we are all expecting now. the fact that we know that the governemts cover up all good finds is really a commentary on us more than them.

Don't get your hopes of everyone! I still hope that it might prove that the ancients are alot smarter then we think they were. But i hope this doesn't burst my bubble.

Reminds me of a HOAX post by (name escapes me now) whom claimed to be on a work detail from prison, and they dug into some strange metallic object that magnetized their shovels and caused some other bs , it was all a lie and he was banned. Is truth stranger that fiction?

Here people says 30uT it's a lot beyond safety values.

The terrain owner says no works on the terrain since 1936.... so it must be older.

It's on a hill's top, very hard to move a so big thing there before 1936.

It's 20x4x? meters.

The zone it's a minerary zone. The shape suggests a sort of water deposit, similar structures have already been reported in the past as roman water boilers for thermal uses.

Updates on monday.

21 of august planned geiger scan.

haha... this is not an episode from prisonbreak.
Whatever it is, there is.

A terrible read, Wow. That was, but a great find! The story, I find, what make of it, I could, very interesting.

I would like to think this is another ancient Baghdad Battery, but more than likely it's remnant's of an old iron manufacturing facility.

Unfortunately I've lost the link page. I'll continue searching for it so I can give a source credit. But, I just found this through googling:

Let's just wait and see what they dig up and/or cover up.
We should know more soon if they are working on this currently. Keep your eyes peeled for new info on this!

It can't be, really:

The ambient magnetic field of the earth, which is approximately 50 microtesla...

The magnitude of the earth's field is about 0.5 Gauss (50 microTesla).

...the Earth's static magnetic field varies from 25 microtesla at the equator to 65 microtesla at the poles.

30uT isn't much, and it's generally way less than the natural background field you see standing in the middle of nowhere with no power lines nearby.

60 milliTeslas is a typical limit for continuous exposure to a static magnetic field, but you can take several Teslas with no ill effects, as long as you don't have any metallic implants.

The zone it's a minerary zone. The shape suggests a sort of water deposit, similar structures have already been reported in the past as roman water boilers for thermal uses.

Should be fun to see what turns up.
