A man has been questioned by police at LaGuardia airport in New York after smuggling a monkey onto a flight from Florida by hiding it under his hat.

Passengers spotted the animal when it climbed out and perched on the man's ponytail, Spirit Airlines spokeswoman Alison Russell told reporters.

Ms Russell said the monkey - a marmoset - spent the remainder of the flight in the man's seat and was well-behaved.

I used to travel like that quite a lot, but with all the new security measures and stuff, ya just can't save money like ya used too!

The question I have is, how big was this guys hat? I mean did this guy resemble Abraham Lincoln?

Pure genius for managing to pull that off i wonder if this is just an isolated incident or if a few people have managed to do it and get away with it before that'd be some fine monkey business.

I hope they had a bananna for it as well. Complimentary inflight snacks and all.
