No one is interested? Why do you say that? There are dozens of threads about Gilgamesh here... Do a search here... There are plenty of great sources here regarding the story of gilgamesh and the similarities to the bible... Probably way better info than can be found on wikipedia too...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

In that thread, some people claimed Gilgamesh copied Noah.

Ok, let's accept it that Gilgamesh and Noah are actually 2 different persons. There were 2 floods.

It is a win and win solution, the religious people are happy the historians are also happy.

Nobody copied nobody.

So actually there were 2 superheroes who survived the great flood in two different world.

So, we don't only prophet Noah, we also have prophet Gilgamesh the great.
While Noah is for Catholic/Christian, Gilgamesh is for die-hard-never-give-up-pagan.

And also for Jewish and Islamic too of course!

This thread is a good reminder to search ATS before making a thread (especially if it's a scantly written one like this). When you think to yourself, 'Why hasn't anyone else come across this?' Is likely they HAVE, just you haven't come across it before!
